11 Chapter - Encountering A Magical Girl

Ye Yao left her home and stepped into the corridor.

Lou Wei did not follow her.

It seemed Ye Yao was allowed to move freely.

This was nothing like the restrictions on personal freedom that the Sequence Esper had mentioned yesterday.

Ye Yao looked left and right, not seeing any other figures.

"Let's go downstairs and see."

Ye Yao got into the elevator, and as soon as it passed the first floor, someone else walked in to ride with her.

She glanced over roughly and saw a rather pretty older sister.

She was dressed in everyday clothes, with long, wavy hair cascading down her back, showing an astonishing volume.

However, the most striking feature was her voluptuous "front chest armor."

If she walked down the street, she would definitely attract the attention of lecherous old men.

If you asked Ye Yao if she liked it.

She only liked small ones!

"You look unfamiliar, did you just move in?"

Seeing Ye Yao alone, the woman casually struck up a conversation.

She was also quite outgoing.

This was bad.

Ye Yao could only nod in passive response, looking timid and hesitant.

"Mhm, it's my second day after moving in."

"Second day, huh? I live in room 1002 on the 10th floor, so we're neighbors. Do you want to come over sometime? I have lots of snacks you can eat freely."

She wasn't even pretending anymore!

Ye Yao was ranting wildly in her mind.

Are you the female version of Brother Jie?

Why are you so casually inviting a little loli to your house?

If she hadn't known this person might be from the Countermeasure Bureau, Ye Yao would have almost thought she was about to be taken advantage of.

"We seem to have just met for the first time..."

"So what? We're neighbors anyway, we can help each other out in the future. Building good relationships and visiting each other isn't a bad thing."

"Uh, I might need to ask my parents first."

Ye Yao couldn't handle such an enthusiastic invitation and could only use an excuse to try and brush her off.

"Which room do you live in? Maybe I know your parents. I can even visit them myself then."

"Uh, 1101..."

"Oh? I think I know the residents of that apartment. I remember they don't seem to have a daughter."

Ah, this... the conversation still hadn't ended?

Ye Yao was like a taciturn Southerner encountering a Northerner who could chat with strangers at any time.

Her social anxiety was about to explode.

Fortunately, the elevator was fast enough and had already reached the first floor.

Ye Yao let out a breath, feeling like seconds were years.

Now there should be no reason to continue chatting.

The older sister also understood this and gave Ye Yao an apologetic smile.

"Sorry, I couldn't resist chatting a bit more when I met a cute girl. I didn't realize you were scared. I'll bring some gifts to apologize another day. Goodbye."

Ye Yao exhaled after the person walked away.

"That was terrifying."

This older sister should have been pretending to run into her.

But the problem was that she didn't seem to be looking for an excuse to stay, she really walked away.

Could it be that they really didn't intend to restrict her range of activity?

Afterward, Ye Yao walked on and off, arriving at the park she had visited yesterday.

Compared to the deserted and eerie park last night, today there were finally people active here.

Ye Yao looked over and saw several old men practicing Tai Chi.

There were also a few figures warming up using fitness equipment.

She wasn't sure if they were residents living nearby or Espers who had been staking out early.

But even if they were, it didn't matter.

Ye Yao's mindset was very easygoing.

As long as they didn't bother her, it was fine.

Ye Yao walked into the park, not intending to interact with anyone.

She had only come out this time to test her range of activity.

From here to home wasn't too close, but certainly not too far either.

No one stopped her during this time, so it should be within her allowed range of activity.

If she wanted to go further, that would only be the city center.

She'd have to take a taxi there, which was beyond the scope of a walk.

Just as Ye Yao was about to go watch the old men play chess to pass the time, a disheartened voice faintly reached her ears.

"Sigh... I got scolded again, even though I was doing good deeds..."

Such a familiar voice!

Ye Yao had some impression of this voice.

After all, she had heard it yesterday.

"Could it be?"

Ye Yao looked in the direction of the voice.

She saw a petite, black-haired girl sitting alone on the edge of the fountain pool.

She wore black-rimmed glasses on her round face.

Even so, it couldn't hide her naturally beautiful appearance.

She had a subtle cuteness.

She didn't seem to be in a good mood.

"Hmm~ the figure seems right, it's just the temperament and hair color are a bit off."

Ye Yao stroked her chin, not believing her intuition would be wrong.

This might be the Magical Girl she met yesterday!

This was interesting.

She had originally thought the wait for her new computer would be very boring.

She didn't expect to encounter something so interesting.

Ye Yao didn't think this was an arrangement by the Countermeasure Bureau.

To arrange it today after an encounter yesterday? They wouldn't be that efficient.

If they really were that efficient, Ye Yao might even give them a thumbs-up.

Anyway, they weren't after anything from her, and she could quickly live her ideal life.

If it really was a pre-arranged plan, then Ye Yao would want them to do more.

"Let's go scare her and see~"

As long as it wasn't an adult suspected of having a deep background, Ye Yao wasn't very socially anxious.

A little loli, what can you say, a little loli.

Communicating with meticulous adults was not as easy as communicating with a little loli.

Moreover, this might even be a delicious child to her liking.

Hehe, she must grab her to watch anime together!

Ye Yao stealthily crept behind the girl, making no sound.

It wasn't until she sat down and moved her butt to be only two body lengths away from the other person that Ye Yao began to speak.

"Magical Girl?"

"W-wah! I'm not Mercury, I'm Mo Qiuli, you've got the wrong person!"

Mo Qiuli was startled, she ➤ NоvеⅠight ➤ (Read more on our source) hadn't even clearly seen Ye Yao's face, and she frantically denied it, looking absolutely determined not to admit it.

This reaction... it seems to be her.

And did she just say the word "Mercury"?

Ye Yao felt like laughing a little.

She didn't continue speaking, intending to wait for Mo Qiuli to calm down.

Fortunately, this wait wasn't long.

Mo Qiuli gradually calmed down.

However, she was still shy and hesitant to speak, making it hard to imagine that her other side dared to strike down villains.

After a long while, Mo Qiuli finally asked in a small voice.

"How did you know I was a Magical Girl? I don't know you, and I haven't told any ordinary people..."

She clearly hadn't recognized Ye Yao as the person she saved in the park yesterday.

Ye Yao looked around, then leaned close to Mo Qiuli and whispered her reply.

"Don't you remember? We met last night, you were my lifesaver."

Mo Qiuli's eyes widened instantly, and light immediately appeared in them.

"So you were the one from yesterday..."

Ye Yao quickly covered the loli's mouth, nervously looking around.

"Shh~ I snuck out yesterday, if I get caught, I'm done for."

Mo Qiuli blinked a few times, then nodded in understanding, with a look of empathy.

After Ye Yao let go, Mo Qiuli showed a puzzled expression again.

"But how did you know my identity? My appearance in that form is very different from my usual self."

Ye Yao's gaze was like looking at an idiot.

"Do you think you're a real Magical Girl? There's no such thing as so-called cognitive magic, you'd notice if you paid a little attention, right?"

"...Gulp!"
