Chapter 27 27. Stop being happy! 😡 Your husband’s about to get home-invaded!

Jan 19, 2026 ‱ 1,397 words

Hua Xin fell silent for a moment, then stretched out her left hand to firmly pin down her right hand—which had been sneaking toward down there—pressing it flat against the bed so it couldn’t move. 😡

The human body’s organs always seem to have minds of their own, completely ignoring conscious control.

“Don’t move!”
“I’ll shoot you if you do! đŸ”«â€Â Â
“If you don’t want to eat lead peanuts, then behave yourself, you little brat—Xiao You!”

With narrowed eyes and gritted teeth, the girl shaped her left hand into a pistol and aimed it at her traitorous right hand. The sheer intensity in her expression made it hard not to believe she meant every word.

But the moment she made that dramatic gesture
she accidentally loosened her grip. 😉

Lying facedown, Hua Xin suddenly felt a cool draft below. Her waistband had mysteriously come undone, and in the blink of an eye, her sleek black ice-silk shorts had vanished—reappearing at the foot of the bed.

Huh? 😹

She slowly knelt upright on the mattress, stunned to find her shorts gone without a trace. All that remained was a tiny gray wolf plushie đŸș staring up at her with wide, innocent eyes.

She blinked in confusion.
What
happened? Where did my pants go???

Then she glanced down—and saw her phone lying quietly on the pillow, displaying a very familiar interface. Flashy ads shimmered across the screen, alternating between dazzling gold and seductive pink.

Though it was daytime outside, Hua Xin’s room was perpetually dark.
In the dimness, the screen glowed clearly: four sinister pathways beckoned like a digital abyss, tempting her so strongly she couldn’t help but swallow nervously. đŸ„”Â Â

Huh?

How did her phone end up on this screen?

She stared in shock at the interface she knew all too well—the one she hadn’t opened in ages.

Ahaha
There’s no way her phone just randomly unlocked her hidden app folder and launched this “study software” by itself. It must be a coincidence! Definitely a coincidence

But this coincidence felt way too convenient.

(Just to confirm—you’re saying you double-tap the home screen with two fingers, draw an “L” shape to unlock the hidden space, then pick one app out of nine, right dear?)

Acting completely nonchalant, Hua Xin tapped Server 4, swiped away the ad, checked the “I am 18+” box 🔞, and muttered to herself:

“Well, it’s not my fault! My hands just
really wanted to do this. I can’t control them! They insisted on challenging Niu Niu again—I had no choice but to give in
”

She grabbed a plush pillow printed with “Er Zi Game” and propped it behind her back. With her left hand, she navigated to the “Monthly Rankings” to browse high-quality companion ASMR content. Meanwhile, her right hand once again crept stealthily toward the gray wolf plushie

——————————

Second floor, Main Academic Building, Shanghai University.

Xia Yan gently adjusted his shirt collar and straightened his tie.

Even though this was just a routine student union interview, he wouldn’t let his guard down.

“Treat everything seriously”—that was the mark of a truly reliable, sunny, and well-adjusted person.

“Next.”

At the soft, calm voice from inside, Xia Yan tucked his phone into his pocket. He waited politely until the current interviewee exited, then stepped in.

“Good afternoon, seniors. I’m Xia Yan, class monitor of Business Administration Class 1, School of Management
”

Standing tall, he addressed the department head and deputies directly. His voice was clear and rhythmic, his smile gentle yet confident, and his self-introduction crisp—no fluff, no unnecessary embellishment.

He was applying for the Organization Department of the Student Union. Compared to departments like Academic Affairs or Sports, this role better suited his exceptional interpersonal skills.

And
it would also give him chances to bring Hua Xin along for social practice.

To help her slowly emerge from isolation, making friends was essential—but so was learning broader social skills: how to talk to people, how to handle tasks, how to execute things flawlessly.

All of these were lessons Hua Xin needed to learn, step by step.

Xia Yan was certain: over the next four years of university, he would pull her out of that lonely world—
and turn her into a strong, independent man.

Two minutes later, he finished his speech.

“I’ve actually noticed you before,” said the woman seated in the center, dressed in a pristine white dress and strappy high heels. She set down her pen, folded her hands, and looked at him with genuine curiosity. Her long hair framed an elegant face, and as she tucked a stray strand behind her ear, delicate floral earrings and smooth collarbones came into view.

“You’re Xia Yan—the freshman who gave the opening speech at military training, right? The top-scoring student in the entire university who chose
‘Hotel Front Desk’ as your major? That’s quite famous around campus.”

“You flatter me, Senior Lin,” Xia Yan replied calmly, without a hint of embarrassment. “I simply found the program interesting. Nothing more.”

(In truth, he’d picked it because it was the easiest major to slack off in. He didn’t care about the field—what mattered was having time to work side jobs and build his business.)

“I approve,” Lin Qingyu said, then turned to the three others beside her—a woman and two men. Her meaning was obvious.

If even the department head had given the green light, what could the two deputies and one core member possibly object to?

“No objections.” ×3

“Excellent,” Lin Qingyu nodded, satisfied. With a decisive clap, she announced: “Congratulations, Xia Yan—you’re officially in the Organization Department of the School of Management.”

The other three smiled brightly—but inwardly, they were all thinking the same thing.

Normally, new members were posted on public bulletin boards after interviews. Skipping straight to approval? That broke protocol

Which meant only one thing. 😋×3

This stunning senior—single for three whole years—was clearly crushing on this younger, handsome underclassman. đŸ€ŁĂ—3

Just then, Lin Qingyu seemed to remember something. She leaned forward slightly, voice softening:

“Oh, by the way—the university’s welcome gala starts prep tomorrow. How about you shadow me during rehearsals, Xia Yan? Would you like to be my personal assistant?”

She watched him with playful interest.

Xia Yan smiled faintly. “I’ll follow the organization’s arrangements.”

See? ×3
Told you! đŸ€ŁđŸ‘‰đŸ»Ă—3

Lin Qingyu’s gaze flickered toward the trio—cold, sharp, and utterly devoid of warmth. A silent warning: Don’t even think about gossiping.

The bespectacled, lanky guy coughed awkwardly. “Uh, Senior—shouldn’t we keep interviewing
?”

“Right,” Lin Qingyu instantly returned to her poised, graceful demeanor. With a sweet smile, she held out her phone:

“Then please add my WeChat, Xia Yan?”

“And
 💓 we’ll have a nice
 long
 chat
 later
 💓”
