Chapter 27 Chapter 27: Tch, Trash is Just Trash
Chapter 27: Tch, Trash is Just Trash
As is well known, the reason those homeless vagrants were able to settle in the mining area and the furnace core zone was mainly due to the protection of a robot named 'Svarog' and the mechanical settlement under his command.
Even people who have lived in the Underworld for most of their lives, including Wildfire, don't know Svarog's true origins. They only know that he seems to have existed since the Underworld was first developed, and has been carrying the mission of guarding the furnace core zone until today.
The most practical situation, however, is that even most people in the vagrant settlements have never seen that ancient robot named Svarog. The one who actually takes them in and helps them is a white-haired girl who looks only eleven or twelve years old—Clara.
From leading a group of robots to help them build their camp, to directing robots to maintain the camp's security, it has always been this little girl herself taking personal charge.
Whenever someone asks about her relationship with that big shot Svarog, Clara always shyly but firmly replies that they are very close family.
Although everyone knows that oil and blood don't mix, no one fails to be grateful to this little girl who helped them build a new home. She genuinely wants everyone in the Underworld to unite like family and live better lives.
Just like at this moment, upon learning that a large-scale conflict had broken out in the mining area with many people injured, she didn't even care about her own safety or other matters, rushing to the scene without stopping.
"What should I do? I was in such a hurry on the way here that I accidentally got separated from Perkins... But if I go back first, what if everyone gets into another conflict? Surely many people will get hurt again..."
Hiding behind a rock wall, the girl gently placed her palm on her chest, her eyes full of worry as she looked at the crowd below. Compared to her own safety, she seemed more concerned about others.
In fact, Clara didn't even recognize most of the people below. Not to mention those hooligans, she wasn't completely familiar with the Wildfire members on the other side either.
To ensure Clara's safety, Svarog usually arranges for a robot named Perkins to accompany her. Not only can it handle many dangers normally, but even if it encounters trouble it can't solve, Perkins can notify him at any time via network connection.
But this time, precisely because she was too anxious, Clara didn't even realize when Perkins got separated from her.
"Mr. Svarog must be very worried right now, but, but..."
In just a short moment of swirling thoughts, Clara was already on the verge of tears, her eyes welling up.
Fortunately, at the critical moment, some changes suddenly occurred below. Just as the two groups were getting closer and closer, seemingly about to clash directly, Seele—who had left moments before Kevin—finally arrived at the scene.
"Don't think you're something special just because you call yourselves Wildfire! Aren't we all refugees from the Underworld? What gives you the right to meddle in our affairs? Blocking our way to making money is like asking for our lives. Brothers, grab your weapons...!"
After hearing Wildfire's attempts to dissuade them, the leader of these hooligans not only showed no remorse but grew more and more agitated. Just as he finally mustered the courage to raise his homemade weapon and charge forward, a purple streak of light suddenly flashed before his eyes.
Crack—!
A strong sense of crisis in his mind made him stand frozen in place, not daring to move. The next second, that hard weapon made of special steel abruptly broke into two pieces.
Gulp—
The hooligan leader instinctively swallowed and took half a step back, looking in terror at the girl who had appeared before him in the blink of an eye.
"If you dare move recklessly again, what falls to the ground next won't be this piece of scrap metal, but your head!"
As she spoke, Seele swung her scythe down fiercely, splitting the weapon on the ground into two pieces again, as if proving her words were no joke.
Alright, even if she wouldn't really make the scene that bloody, she definitely wouldn't go easy on these troublemakers who caused so much trouble. Even if she couldn't kill them, beating them so badly they couldn't get out of bed for a month or two should be fine, right?
"You... you you you..."
The hooligan leader clearly hadn't recovered from the shock yet. His finger kept pointing at Seele, but he couldn't utter a complete sentence.
"You what?! Can't you see how much trouble you damn trash have caused in the mining area? If everyone wasn't watching, I would have punched your front teeth out just now!"
Compared to Oleg, the leader with a military background who always follows rules, Seele's aggressiveness is clearly many times stronger. She's not good at reasoning, but fighting and cursing are what she excels at.
"What a joke, just a little brat... Guys! If we don't get this money, the best outcome for us and our families is starving to death on the streets of the Underworld! Let's fight them! Show Wildfire what we're made of!!"
After experiencing the initial fear, his inherently despicable nature and harsh reality quickly drove him to act recklessly. Waving the broken iron rod in his hand, he charged forward.
The outcome was unsurprising: Seele kicked him several meters away. He curled up on the ground, unable to get up. But this didn't suppress the conflict; instead, it made the remaining people even more frenzied.
"Charge! She's just one person! How strong can she possibly be?!"
Over a hundred hooligans raised their weapons and charged over all at once. But just before a major battle was about to erupt, Oleg still placed his hand on Seele's shoulder and gently shook his head: "Seele... sigh... remember, don't go too hard."
"Got it, Uncle Oleg!"
From the beginning, Seele never thought the problem could be solved peacefully. She understands these hooligans' personalities better than anyone. If they don't get hit hard enough to feel pain, they'll never stop.
Originally, this should have been a chaotic battle where both sides suffered losses. But with Seele on Wildfire's side, how could any accidents happen?
Groups of three or five hooligans kept charging forward with weapons raised. But almost without even crossing blows once, these guys with at most some mediocre skills would all be taken down by Seele.
Maybe before, if over a dozen hooligans surrounded her together, Seele would inevitably get injured. But since receiving the Emanator's blessing and undergoing Kevin's special training, isn't it too disrespectful for these hooligans to think they can even get close to her?
After about ten seconds or so, the Wildfire members who were originally facing a formidable enemy had all put down their weapons and were staring dumbfounded ahead. Because everyone who charged forward would be taken down by Seele with one move. And less than half a minute later, there were already no more than ten people left standing on the ground.
Bang—!
"What? Anyone else want to fight?"
After twirling her scythe once in mid-air and slamming it hard into the ground, no one on the field dared to look Seele in the eye anymore.
"Tch, trash is just trash."
