Chapter 100: Both Sides Fully Express Tolerance and Understanding

"Thanks, Kevin."

Blaze carried her chainsaw on her shoulder. For city-level combat, she had never fought this easily before; this was the first time.

Having someone powerful backing you up sure feels different.

The big cat extended her fist.

"Mhm."

Kevin glanced at her and didn't refuse her friendly gesture, bumping fists with her.

Blaze smiled and withdrew her hand.

"Not that hard either. I don't know why Ace and the others always look so mysterious when they talk about it. How about we have a fight later? Let's agree first, no using those overpowered abilities of yours."

Those fire and ice strikes from the sky were just too beyond the norm. Even Blaze, who had seen Rosmontis in combat, felt the two were simply incomparable.

She was smart; she even knew to limit Kevin's capabilities.

But she wasn't that smart either...

"Fine."

"Why are you all looking at me like that? Even if I end up losing, how bad could it really be?"

Blaze looked puzzled at the three people giving her heroic gazes. Even if she lost badly... well, using Yan's saying, could it possibly shatter her Dao Heart?

"I'm glad to see you all chatting happily, but I have some bad news next."

Kal'tsit's voice came through the earpiece.

"Doctor Kal'tsit, was your account hacked?"

The straightforward Blaze asked in confusion, instantly rendering Kal'tsit in the earpiece speechless.

If it wasn't a hack, why would today's wording sound so... gentle? Doesn't seem like it! Not at all!

"Operator Blaze, if you have enough time, Rhodes Island can arrange triple the workload for you upon return. If not, then listen to me finish."

Kal'tsit took a deep breath, trying to keep herself in a calm state.

Ah, now that's more like it.

Blaze chuckled but didn't dare interrupt again.

"The Ursus Third Army Group set out towards Chernobog fifteen minutes ago. At least by the time we received the news, Chernobog had already entered their anti-air no-fly zone. Therefore, the transport aircraft responsible for extraction cannot take off."

"You need to evacuate through the rail garage beneath Chernobog. Vehicles are already prepared for you there. Don't worry; Yan's personnel in charge are also heading to Chernobog."

"Understood, Doctor Kal'tsit."

Amiya responded. It was just a change in evacuation method...

Right?!

At least before exiting the underground rail garage in Chernobog, that's what Amiya thought.

But now... well, not exactly.

Layers upon layers of Ursus Assaulters blocked the entire area tightly. Transport aircraft flew by from time to time, each time dropping hundreds of paratroopers armed with crossbows. Black parachutes opened in the sky.

When that overwhelming black slowly descended from above, one would realize that Ursus's foundation is war—this was never an empty statement.

Confronting them was a group of mysterious individuals dressed in black raincoats and red robes with golden patterns, with almost no skin exposed.

Although their numbers were few, their presence almost matched that of the Ursus Third Army Group's vanguard force, which outnumbered them by a hundredfold. They even seemed to slightly suppress them.

Fighting one against a hundred, with the opponents being a fully organized Ursus army—this seemed absurd, but in an actual clash, it was hard to say who would emerge victorious.

"This is Ursus territory. By setting foot here, can I assume Yan intends to provoke war?"

Regardless of anything else, Anton glared angrily, habitually pinning a big label on the other side.

"No need for words. We are well aware of your intentions. Moreover, we have not set foot on Chernobog."

Faced with the soft rebuttal from one of the red-robed figures, Anton paused.

Indeed, territorial boundaries among Terra's major nations are quite flexible. The unspoken rule for borders is generally that only areas within a certain range covered by a Nomadic City's route are considered national territory.

All other places belong to buffer zones.

But this is only an unspoken rule. If the other side pretends not to know, there's nothing he can do; it would just be a matter of each relying on their own capabilities.

When military strength is unequal, Ursus naturally doesn't need to worry about anything. But with Yan...

"Aren't you afraid of being detained here?"

Valery raised his hand. The paratrooper crossbowmen loaded their bolts one after another, and the Assaulters raised their spears, shielding the crossbowmen.

"Hah."

Fiammetta sneered coldly. If the entire Third Army Group had arrived, she would definitely have grabbed everyone and run without a second word.

But right now? It's just a measly little vanguard force. Who wins is still up in the air!

Her golden hair floated slightly due to electric arcs, and her red robe with golden patterns fluttered without wind.

The black raincoat-clad individuals and the other red-robed figures also took defensive stances.

"Amiya, let's go."

"Mhm."

The Rhodes Island group tried their best to muffle the sound of their vehicle engines, but obviously things wouldn't go as they hoped.

"You are not allowed to leave!" ×2

Both sides showed surprisingly synchronizedtacit understanding at this moment.

Well, so we're being targeted? Blaze helplessly stepped on the brake.

"Hey, be polite. How are you talking?"

Seeing a certain someone get out of the vehicle, Fiammetta couldn't help but nudge Taihe's sturdy waist with her elbow, even forgetting to gather her lightning arts in her hand as she whispered.

Rhodes Island or not didn't matter; whether they lived or died had nothing to do with them. The main concern was Kevin.

"Mhm, I'll be careful."

This honest and straightforward Censor from the Surveillance Bureau rarely didn't argue back and just nodded.

"Everyone should come behind us. They wouldn't dare intercept you."

"I'd like to see who dares!"

Anton glared with wide eyes, his face flushed red like an enraged bear with bristling fur.

Whoosh!

A crossbow bolt shot out and embedded itself in the snowy ground in the middle of the battlefield. Honestly, the aim was terrible.

"No way, brother! You actually shot?!"

This move not only stunned the Yan side but also left Anton and Valery dumbfounded.

Who the Ursus expletive did this?!

Anton turned around and quickly spotted a paratrooper crossbowman who looked somewhat guilty.

Immediately taking three steps in two strides, he reached that person, yanked off his military cap, slapped his head hard a few times, and punched him several more times fiercely.

"You little brat! Who told you to fire?!"

"Reporting, sir! The... the string snapped!"

The crossbowman wanted to cry but had no tears. Even though it hurt, he didn't dare groan and just explained.

"Hmph! I'll deal with you later!"

Anton was stunned for a moment first, then glared at him fiercely before uttering a few harsh words.

At this point, bringing up weapon corruption issues was out of the question anymore.

"Ahem... well... it was all a misunderstanding."

Anton coughed dryly twice and walked out to retrieve the bolt that had been shot onto the battlefield.

"Ahaha... nerves... understandable, understandable."

The Surveillance Bureau group also smiled and accepted this explanation.

The atmosphere became unusually harmonious.

Actually, ever since the two sides first laid eyes on each other, this battle had already become impossible to start.

Restarting Chernobog would require a lot of time—enough time for Yan to mobilize its forces over. This didn't align with their initial objective of a surprise attack tactic.
