Chapter 128: The Sky-Piercing Ice Path

"What an unfortunate explosion. It seems our Pink Bunny Rabbit Team has run into trouble. What about the other two teammates? Hurry up and help them!"

Setting aside the shouts from the D.D.D. side for now.

Even Enesto, who was not far from the collapsed shop, breathed a sigh of relief.

Kevin and Fiammetta not following immediately was truly a blessing from heaven. Even if those two heroines wanted to clear this blockage, it would probably take a very long time.

At least this way, there shouldn't be any problems on father's side, right?

Crack—

"Huh? What was that noise?"

Just as he was about to wait here for the two to emerge, a small stone fell on his head. Enesto looked towards the collapsed shop in confusion.

A crisp sound came from the pile of collapsed earth and rocks, followed by—a shower of debris flying everywhere!

"Bolívar curse words!"

He rolled away somewhat awkwardly, looking incredulously in that direction.

In the smoke, pitch-black ice pillars pierced through walls and obstructions with the most unyielding attitude. As they "grew," they squeezed and crushed through the earth and rocks, carving out a brand new space.

Viewed from high above, a giant pure black ice lotus bloomed from its center. Its delicate, beautiful form was vivid and lifelike, yet carried an aura of immense depth and mystery.

The flower bud opened layer by layer. Enclosed at its center were none other than Ch'en and Lin Yuxia.

One petal of the ice lotus slowly fell, crushing the broken road into a smooth path. And its direction pointed straight towards the coast!

"What a huge commotion. Isn't Kevin's Originium Arts that strange method used to repair Chi Xiao? How can he even create something like this?"

This is simply too outrageous, right? Who has Originium Arts this flashy?

Lin Yuxia's expression held surprise mixed with a hint of complexity. Although she had anticipated that the backup plan Kevin left for them might not be so simple, putting aside everything else, just the visual effect alone...

"Never mind that. If we stay any longer, we'll be completely left behind."

Ch'en pushed her bicycle. Time was tight. The shock and settling scores with Enesto would have to wait until later.

"I know, Officer Ch'en! Please stop your lecturing habit."

After that little interlude, the two quickly rode their bicycles towards the coast.

"Wow! What are we seeing? What a beautiful creation! Is that one of the two heroines' Originium Arts? It's simply too stunning!"

"What is this?"

Condela frowned, her hand holding the water glass stiffening for a moment before quickly relaxing again.

Only constant bursts of surprise can be considered interesting, right?

This team brought her far more surprises than she had planned! This is simply too interesting.

"However, even if they successfully break through the encirclement, their opponents are already far ahead of the two heroines in terms of progress. The leading Sunshine Team has already swum nearly a quarter of the sea distance. Can they successfully achieve victory?"

The audience erupted. Originally covered by the explosion, their hearts had already sunk halfway; they were afraid they'd lose their entire savings.

But when the two returned in such a manner, they "revived," shouting encouragement at the top of their lungs!

Not for admiration, nor for some elusive faith. At this moment, they only wanted to protect their money!

"Go for it!"

"You absolutely cannot lose!"

"Defeat them! Kick them all into the sea to feed the fish!"

Thud! Thud! Thud!

Ch'en and Lin Yuxia arrived at the swimming checkpoint and threw aside their battle-damaged bicycles.

"Do you have any good ideas for crossing the sea?!"

Ch'en asked Lin Yuxia as she ran towards the coast while sprinting.

Judging from the current situation, catching up to those competitors who are far ahead through normal swimming methods is definitely impossible.

After all, they were delayed for too much time.

"No!"

If it were "Grey Lin" present, she could probably build a bridge from the coast all the way to the cruise ship with just sand and her bare hands. But unfortunately, here it's only Lin Yuxia; she doesn't have that kind of ability to create miniature Catastrophes with every move.

"Then what should we do?"

Ch'en stood at the coastline, carrying her water cannon.

"Let me think."

Lin Yuxia bit her finger. Time was tight; every minute they lingered, victory grew more distant.

She searched for inspiration in her mind. Just as she was about to grasp it, a voice broke their contemplation.

"Let me handle it."

A steady, calm voice sounded. A perfectly intact bicycle stopped in front of them. Although it was dusty from riding onto the sand, compared to their two battle-damaged versions, it could be considered brand new.

Two people sat on the bike. Fiammetta had one arm wrapped around Kevin's sturdy waist while smiling and greeting them:

"Hi, do you want some?"

She offered two ice popsicles.

Seeing the brilliant smile on her face, Ch'en and Lin Yuxia fell silent simultaneously. They suddenly couldn't find the meaning behind all their life-and-death struggles along the way.

The way these two were enjoying life was simply infuriating enough to make one's blood pressure skyrocket!

"No need, thank you."

"Let's solve the problem at hand first."

They sighed simultaneously. There was no resentment or anger because these people weren't after money or favors; they were here on vacation themselves. They had no grounds to criticize.

"What do you plan to do?"

Lin Yuxia looked at Kevin getting off the bike. He walked straight towards the coast. Hearing Lin Yuxia's call, he turned back and answered softly:

"Very simple."

His bony, well-defined hand reached into the water. An aura of deep blue and pale white intertwined around him. His pupils focused.

Lift!

Crack— Boom!

The inland sea began to freeze from where he made contact. But that chilling pale white was intentionally constrained to one area; otherwise, freezing the entire inland sea would only be a matter of time.

A miraculous bridge slowly rose as Kevin raised his hand. It was entirely forged from ice, pieced together inch by inch, its target direction pointing straight at the cruise ship!

This was a sky-piercing ice path!

"Huff~"

He exhaled a pale stream of air and looked back at the stunned duo. A hint of amusement seemed to hide in his eyes.

"Go. What I can do ends here. Now, it's your turn to do what you need to do!"

"Aren't you coming..."

"Let's go! Don't waste time!"

Lin Yuxia still wanted to ask something, but her collar was grabbed by Ch'en who hurriedly dragged her onto the bridge!

"That really is Hui-chieh's style."

Fiammetta smiled but wasn't too surprised by the miraculous bridge before her because she had seen even more shocking things!

......

"Wait, let go of me! I can walk by myself!"

Ch'en put Lin Yuxia down. The two truly stood upon that bridge of ice.

"Pink Sausage Dragon, can you ice skate?"

"Ice skate? You mean..."

A self-satisfied smile appeared on Lin Yuxia's face as two pairs of ice skates made of glass materialized beneath their feet.

"Good idea!"

Ch'en suddenly felt that this stinky rat's brain occasionally came in quite handy.
