Chapter 140: Frigid Sky's Frenzied Dance!

"Spell volley preparation, one round."

The Sarkaz witchcraft volley, with power not inferior to small-yield Originium bombs, traced hundreds of dazzling trajectories across the sky.

"Caster squads intercept the attacks, Defender operators prepare for impact."

The Doctor's orders were issued through the earpiece.

Rhodes Island's operators were not clustered together and charging out in one mass. Instead, they were divided into several small squads, emerging separately from the opened snow curtain, creating tactical space for evasion.

Having already observed from high altitude using drones, they purposefully charged towards the weaker points in the encirclement's defenses.

During the charge, flames and lightning shot out intermittently from the centers of Rhodes Island's tactical squads, shattering those corrosive Sarkaz witchcraft spells.

The occasional few that slipped through were blocked by Defender operators. Apart from a small number of operators being splashed and sustaining minor injuries, they reached the front of the Sarkaz military formation almost unscathed.

At this distance, Rhodes Island's operators could almost see the cold, gleaming blades in the hands of the Sarkaz swordsmen. Equipped with new gear obtained from Victoria,

they had shed a layer of backward savagery. The only thing unchanged was their ferocity when wielding sharp weapons.

"Hah!"

A powerful hammer blow directly smashed open the skull of the Sarkaz greatsword wielder before him. Blood and brain matter splattered. Ace's eyes were cold as he forcefully breached the Sarkaz military formation, relying on his safety shield.

His not-exaggerated strength, combined with his multi-functional hammer, charging left and right, actually managed to forcefully open a gap in the defensive line.

Guard operators also skillfully poured in through the gap. Although their numbers were few, with sword slashes and blade cuts, they actually managed to cut down the elite Sarkaz swordsmen, throwing them into disarray.

In fact, the team currently led by Ace could be considered an elite force even within all of Rhodes Island.

They were precisely those trainees originally taught by Kevin. Having undergone training based on the localized and improved Fire Moth program, aside from the nearly three-quarters who died in the Babel and Military Committee civil war,

the others have followed from the Babel era to the present-day Rhodes Island, with few losses even during occasional missions.

"Haha, when I was face-to-face with the Lord of Blood Demons, you lot were still rummaging for food in some garbage dump!"

A Guard operator laughed heartily. With a twist of his greatsword, he cleaved two Sarkaz warriors in half at the waist, along with their swords.

"Encountering enemy main force assault! Requesting support! Requesting support!"

The urgent voice of the Sarkaz commander from the southern district sounded in the earpiece. Sentinels also raised their flags one after another, crimson witchcraft augmenting the Sarkaz warriors.

Blood surged upwards, clouding their eyes. Muscles bulged, and their weapon-swinging movements gradually became more brutal and fierce, attacking without restraint.

This finally slowed Rhodes Island's advance.

"FrostNova, sober them up."

But the Doctor had clearly anticipated this. Her tone was slightly breathless. Simply put, the strain from using Blank Key hadn't fully dissipated before the safe house was breached.

She hadn't even had time to rest properly!

The Doctor was in a very bad mood right now and wanted these guys to take a cold shower!

"Understood."

FrostNova, already prepared, held Han Yu Bing Tian (Frozen Prison of Frosty Heavens). Her silk-like white hair swirled in the cold wind, her eyes filled with icy light. Like a princess of ice and snow, she finally revealed her form from the high-altitude snow curtain.

The figure of "Sakura" also appeared behind her. She leaned forward, also grasping the hilt of Han Yu Bing Tian. Their figures almost overlapped!

"Go on, use what I taught you."

Their gazes met. At this moment, their expressions and movements were completely identical.

Freeze time for "Sakura Blossoms," seize that fleeting instant, pursue all things, manifest the miracle of [Moment]!

Draw blade! Slash!

"Frigid Sky—Frenzied Dance!"

The snow tide suspended high in the sky carried with it a fierce sword light. White intertwined with white. The Sarkaz who perished in that icy, snowy land couldn't even tell before death

whether they died from the overwhelming snow or the icy sword!

The entire Sarkaz defensive line in the southern district also completely collapsed under this long-brewed spell (sword technique?).

Subsequently, it was easily breached by Rhodes Island operators.

Londinium, Military Committee Temporary Station.

"Your Highness, they still escaped."

Manfred's face showed little sign of defeat. That Amiya Caster was indeed strong, but she couldn't possibly be stronger than the Sarkaz legions stationed in Londinium.

The previous encirclement was more of an attempt; if they could be kept, they would be kept.

In fact, if FrostNova's blizzard hadn't caused such a commotion later, he wouldn't even have personally gone to coordinate.

"Don't worry about it, Manfred. Whether they escape or not won't have a decisive impact on the overall war situation."

Theresis shook his head. He couldn't spare more forces to crush Rhodes Island now either. The Victoria Dukes stationed around Londinium, watching with covetous eyes, were the real force the Sarkaz needed to worry about.

Compared to large-scale high-speed warships, fortress cities, and armed mobile landmasses, Rhodes Island's weight in terms of "danger" was far too small.

The Shard and airships were now the top priority. This was no longer an era where Sarkaz could rely on physique and witchcraft to dominate nations.

He was the Regent of Sarkaz. The height at which he stood destined Theresis to never be short-sighted or conservative and outdated. That would push the hard-gathered Sarkaz back into the abyss.

So he gladly accepted and restarted these weapon projects, investing manpower and funds without stinting. Fortunately, since entering Londinium several years ago, the projects were almost complete.

"The mighty power to control Catastrophes, the return of the various Sarkaz Royal Courts—the time is ripe. War and storm will sweep away the gloom shrouding Sarkaz and crush the enemies who stood before them in the past."

Theresis looked up. The top of The Shard pierced into the clouds, probing into that thick cloud layer. All of Londinium was even shrouded in dark gloom.

That wasn't ordinary cloud cover; it was Catastrophe clouds—a Catastrophe cloud of unprecedented scale!

No Catastrophe Messenger had ever recorded a Catastrophe of this scale before—meaning it was unprecedented!

Within the thick cloud layer, energy was so heavily concentrated that it caused the clouds to churn, giving off a deadly sense of oppression.

An oddly-shaped aircraft occasionally revealed its mysterious form due to the churning clouds, like an eye in this dark firmament. Under its gaze, all enemies would have nowhere to escape.

"Drown tears with tears; bury suffering with suffering."
