Chapter 41 Chapter 41: Brother Su’s Psychological Problem

Jan 16, 2026 903 words

Acting on impulse, Su Yuan stood calmly, closed her book, and left under Lan Qiuzhu’s surprised gaze.

Watching the little beauty slip away, Lan Qiuzhu felt frustrated. She reflected on whether she had been too aggressive.

The answer was yes.

Scratching her head in annoyance, she resolved to learn from this mistake. Next time she would approach younger students with the gentle, elegant demeanor of a senior.

After this self‑reflection, she lowered her head. When she raised it again, she appeared serene and poised, exuding the aura of a senior. She sat quietly, continuing to read Artistic Drawing Skills. Though her target had fled, she was not worried.

Noticing a light blue water cup left on the windowsill, she smiled. “That girl is forgetful. She’ll have to come back for this.”

Meanwhile, Su Yuan truly was desperate to relieve herself. The thought of escape had triggered her awareness of her full bladder.

Each library floor had both male and female restrooms. Without thinking, she headed toward the men’s. Just then a boy walked out. Seeing a short‑haired, delicate girl heading straight for him, he nearly collided with her. He stopped her kindly. “Miss, this is the men’s restroom.”

“I know it’s the men’s restroom.” Su Yuan replied blankly.

“Then why are you going in.”

“Why can’t I…” She froze, realization flooding her face red. He thinks I’m a girl.

His earnest expression confirmed it.

Even without keen perception, she understood—she had been mistaken for a girl.

At the start of term her hair had been shorter, but now her bangs covered one eye. Combined with her frame and subtle aura, anyone unfamiliar with her would assume she was female.

She lowered her head in defeat and turned toward the women’s restroom.

The boy shook his head. “Girls these days are bold. Lucky she met me, a decent man. If she had met someone darker, who knows what might have happened.” Muttering, he walked off.

Inside the women’s restroom, Su Yuan felt uneasy.

It was empty. Her first time in a women’s restroom, she felt nervous yet oddly excited.

Aside from lacking urinals, it was no different from the men’s.

Her urgency grew. She rushed into a stall, locked the door, lowered her pants, and squatted.

The sound of relief filled the space. For once she did not need to hide it. The environment gave her a strange thrill.

Afterward, she cleaned up and emerged, cheeks flushed. Am I abnormal, she wondered. Why does this excite me.

She glanced at the small window at the end, smiled faintly, and left.

“Oh no, I forgot my water cup.” She slapped her forehead. “I’ll have to go back.”

“Brother Su, what are you doing here.”

A boy washing his hands greeted her.

It was Lu Kaiwen, twenty, a sophomore in Classical Chinese.

Seeing a familiar face, Su Yuan stiffened. “Kaiwen, it’s you. Reading on the tenth floor too.”

She prayed he had not noticed her exit from the women’s restroom. But she knew it was futile. He had been right there.

“Indeed. Brother Su, you…” He glanced at the women’s restroom. The meaning was clear.

Lu Kaiwen studied Classical Chinese and spoke in archaic style. They had met by chance at an interdepartmental event. He always called her “Brother Su,” as if it showed respect.

Su Yuan flushed with embarrassment.

“How to explain this.”

Seeing her discomfort, Kaiwen waved. “Brother Su, no need to worry. I understand.”

“You… understand what.”

He smiled. “A true man has lofty ambition. A mere women’s restroom is nothing. We should pass through like clouds.”

Su Yuan sweated. Entering the women’s restroom was ambition.

“This isn’t what you think.”

“I know.”

He waved again. “Brother Su, you are handsome. Many men wish to enter the women’s restroom but cannot. You have the talent. To waste it would be a crime.”

Su Yuan coughed. “Do you also have this ambition.”

Kaiwen sighed. “My talent is insufficient.”

So he wanted to, but lacked the ability. Su Yuan realized he was fearless in theory, timid in practice. She despised him silently.

“Can you… not tell anyone about today.” she asked hopefully.

Kaiwen nodded solemnly. “Rest assured. I know discretion. I won’t trouble you.”

“Then I’ll go.”

“Farewell.”

As she walked away, Kaiwen stared at the restroom door, then at her retreating figure. Brother Su is bold. To enter the women’s restroom openly.

Though he had spoken grandly, he himself would never dare. He had heard the rumors about Su Yuan—people calling her abnormal, perverse. He dismissed them as jealousy over her link to Xiao Yiyan.

Claims that she preyed on old women or children were absurd.

As for being called effeminate, he thought it only proved her superior genes.

But seeing her emerge from the women’s restroom, he feared the worst.

Has Brother Su developed a psychological problem.

He had joked to ease her embarrassment, but inside he was unsettled.

Imagine if a male friend suddenly grew effeminate and even used the women’s restroom. How terrifying.

The only difference was that Su Yuan looked convincingly female.
