Chapter 53 Chapter 53: The Way of Chasing Girls
Gao Jun scratched his nose, laughing awkwardly. He noticed Su Yuan’s sunglasses on the table, grabbed them like a toy, and put them on. “Nice shades. Mind if I borrow them for a few days?”
“You can, but don’t break them.”
“Relax, I won’t.”
Watching him pose with her sunglasses, Su Yuan shook her head. She pulled out her plain glasses and tried them in the bathroom mirror.
The clunky frame covered half her face, ruining her delicate features. It looked awkward, yet oddly effective.
“Oh!!”
She exclaimed. Behind the lenses, her bright eyes sparkled like stars, but her face appeared ordinary. Pale skin aside, she looked unremarkable.
“Turning magic into mediocrity—perfect.” She felt satisfied, strolling out.
Gao Jun, still showing off, was stunned. “Su Yuan, where’d you get those glasses?”
“Pretty good, right?” She tilted her head proudly.
“Good? Your taste has gone downhill.”
“Humph!” Su Yuan muttered, annoyed. I want to look plain, not hear your criticism.
Gao Jun chuckled, brushing her bangs aside. “Yehao, look at Su Su. Strangers would think she’s old‑fashioned. But don’t you think she’s cute like this?”
First impressions matter. To strangers, her glasses ruined her aura. But to friends, it was playful.
“Gao Jun, keep your hands off!” Su Yuan snapped, slapping his hand away.
Ji Yehao smiled, amused. Then his gaze drifted to her chest—was it his imagination, or had it grown?
“Gao Jun, enough. I have something serious to say.”
Her tone made him stop joking. “What’s up?”
“It’s about Summer Jie.”
“What about her?”
At the mention of Xia Linfei, Gao Jun grew serious. Su Yuan nodded. “You want to pursue her. I tested the waters today. Here’s the conclusion.”
Her solemn tone made his heart pound. “Tell me, Su Yuan. I can handle it.”
She sighed. “Her attitude is unclear.”
“…”
“I think she prefers directness. If you like her, confess boldly.”
“Will that work?”
“Only one way to find out.” Su Yuan smiled like a seasoned love guru.
“Listen to my analysis. Summer Jie dresses sharply—white blouse, short skirt, ponytail. Confident, decisive. Such women have strong opinions.”
Gao Jun nodded.
“And her personality—she’s efficient, wise, thoughtful. Except for that drunken night, which was unusual.”
“She feels like…” Su Yuan’s eyes gleamed mischievously.
“What?”
“A wild horse. Graceful yet fierce. Not a fragile flower. Ordinary boys can’t tame her.”
Ji Yehao thought it matched his impression too.
“Gao Jun, if you want her, be ready to fail completely.”
Gao Jun clenched his fists. Should he give up or risk everything? His eyes hardened. “I won’t give up.”
Some bonds defy explanation. Though he barely knew her, something drew him in.
Su Yuan nodded, eyes sparkling. “Then I’ll teach you how to win her!”
“Su Yuan…” Gao Jun was moved, like a disciple begging for a master’s secret.
“Don’t thank me yet. Summer Jie is proud. As a weakling, you can’t conquer her.”
“To tame her, you must be more dominant. Show her she’s just a kitten before your strength. Break her armor, claim her fate.”
“…”
“Dominance means unconditional obedience. She must come when you beckon, cower when you scold. Then you’ll be invincible.”
“When you’re happy, she’s content. When you’re upset, she starves. One look, one gesture—she must know what to do: warm your bed, wash clothes, massage shoulders, scrub dishes.”
“That’s enough!”
“And strength matters. With your hands, you must know how to strip her clothes.”
“Pfft!” Ji Yehao spat out his drink.
Su Yuan rolled her eyes at him. “A truly dominant man can handle all that!”
