Chapter 34: Orange Juice-Flavored Blood, Isn'T It Quite Good?

Chi Xiaocheng's strength wasn't great, but her grip made Liu Guijia's wrist ache.

Her crimson eyes, like the vertical pupils of a mad cat, instilled fear.

Liu Guijia was also startled. The hand gripping Chi Xiaocheng's hair tightened abruptly, and she gnashed her teeth, roaring in fury, "What did you say? How dare you talk back to me?!"

"Don't you know who's the boss here? Say one more word and I'll scratch your face to pieces, believe it or not!"

Smack—!

Another heavy slap landed squarely on Chi Xiaocheng's face.

Her face gradually reddened, faint trickles of blood seeped from the corner of her mouth, and her fallen hair obscured half of her eyes, making Chi Xiaocheng's expression unreadable.

After the slap, Liu Guijia's anger, born from fear of that gaze, gradually dissipated.

She sneered, "No matter how much you glare, you're still just trash."

"I suppose Su Tao is the one who gave you courage?"

She snorted coldly, her voice venomous, "She's just like you, good for nothing. She pretends to be pure, but she just spreads that unbearable, foxy stench everywhere, hmph!"

"If I weren't no match for her, she'd have long since been turned into a dog, just like you and that fellow behind me."

She spat on the floor, but didn't notice Chi Xiaocheng's expression growing increasingly dark.

She continued, "Relying on her looks, she goes around seducing people, it's disgusting. But I see she seems to care a lot about you."

As she spoke, she lifted Chi Xiaocheng's face again, hooking her chin. "Tell me, if I were to use you to threaten Su Tao, what do you think would happen? Would she care about you?"

Chi Xiaocheng slowly opened her eyes, a pair of cat-like vertical pupils glowing red in the dim room. Her voice was hoarse, "The answer to that question... I want to know it too..."

"What did you say?"

Liu Guijia frowned.

Chi Xiaocheng laughed, blood overflowing from the corners of her lips, trickling down her chin. She no longer maintained the fragile act of someone bullied and wronged.

As if she had forgotten her own plan.

"Didn't you want to scratch my face to pieces? Why don't you just do it?"

Chi Xiaocheng moved her face closer, reaching out to grip one of Liu Guijia's hands again, a strength coming from she knew not where.

She forcefully pried open Liu Guijia's hand that was pulling her hair.

She leaned in further, their noses mere millimeters apart.

"You... what are you doing?" Liu Guijia was frightened by her gaze and instinctively took a step back.

What kind of eyes were those?

Not like human pupils, they were unsettlingly vertical, seemingly emitting a blood-red glow. Just meeting them filled one with dread.

Like a ferocious wolf protecting its cubs.

No, that's not right!

More like the look in a young, nursing wolf's eyes, desperately protecting its injured mother.

Out of biological instinct.

Yet Chi Xiaocheng took another step closer, and the knife Liu Guijia held pricked her face.

A small wound appeared, and tiny droplets of blood were squeezed out.

Blood was drawn.

It wasn't like the blood that flowed when she was being beaten.

Chi Xiaocheng had willingly moved closer to get injured, and combined with those eerie crimson pupils, it was utterly chilling.

Chi Xiaocheng exhaled a warm breath, reaching out to touch the knife, as gently as if caressing a lover. "What, are you scared? Or were your words just empty threats?"

"You... don't come any closer!"

Liu Guijia abruptly sat down on the ground, holding the knife out in front of her with both hands.

This was a self-preservation posture.

She was afraid.

She even had a feeling that if she truly thrust the knife forward, Chi Xiaocheng would willingly meet it.

There wasn't a trace of fear in this person's eyes.

How was this like someone who had been bullied for three years?

A person's aura is a very strange thing, especially when faced with the unknown or something contrary to logic. The human brain temporarily enters a self-preservation state.

Commonly known as... crashing.

It's like someone facing a certain death; everyone knows to run immediately, but fear permeates the entire body, rendering them unable to move an inch.

Liu Guijia was experiencing that very feeling now.

Chi Xiaocheng's gaze.

It seemed to want to...

Kill!

The tables had turned.

Chi Xiaocheng smiled ferociously, "Liu Guijia, you're quite the bully who preys on the weak and fears the strong, aren't you? I called you here today specifically for you to bully me. Those slaps, that punch, they were quite forceful, I'm very satisfied!"

"But!" Chi Xiaocheng leaned a step closer, "You said things about Tao Tao that made me very unhappy. Even though I'm not a yandere, and I wouldn't say I 'like' her, she's currently my only reason to survive."

"Conquering the female lead, what a huge accomplishment that would be!" Chi Xiaocheng muttered to herself, her expression growing excited. "Little supporting characters and cannon fodder like us only exist to pave the way for the main characters, but do you know, even so, Tao Tao still shines her light on us supporting characters."

"It was precisely after learning what the original owner had done that Su Tao still forgave me and treated me gently. What a kind girl she is."

"Unlike the person I once loved, who betrayed me even after I gave everything."

"You wouldn't know what it feels like to have your heart, once hollowed out, finally be filled by someone, would you?"

"Bully?!"

Chi Xiaocheng stood up, abruptly grabbing Liu Guijia's small knife.

Liu Guijia frantically tried to pull the knife away. "Let go!"

The small knife didn't budge, its tip held tight in Chi Xiaocheng's grip.

A warm liquid flowed from her palm to her wrist. Liu Guijia was shocked to find she couldn't pull the small knife back.

Didn't she feel pain?

With a sudden snap, the knife handle slipped from her grasp.

The small knife was now reversed in Chi Xiaocheng's hand, tiny red droplets dripping from its tip. The air was filled with a pungent smell.

"You don't even dare to make a move?"

Chi Xiaocheng sneered, lifting the hair from her forehead. She pressed the knife tip against the skin above her eyebrows.

Screech—

A bloody straight line appeared, cut from above her left eyebrow all the way to the right.

The oozing liquid was like droplets of water on glass, sliding over her eyelids and trickling down her cheeks.

At this moment, Chi Xiaocheng's face was a sight of dreadful beauty, utterly chilling.

Her strange vertical pupils reflected a vibrant red, and a twisted smile spread across her lips. "If you don't make a move, and someone else comes later, how will they know I've been bullied?"

"As for you!" Chi Xiaocheng took a large stride forward, straddling Liu Guijia's legs, looking down on her. "Hitting me is one thing, but why did you have to say so much? Were you just venting your emotions as the victor?"

She toyed with the small knife in her hand, crimson drops falling onto Liu Guijia's skin, searingly hot.

Chi Xiaocheng said leisurely, "Actually, there's one thing you said that I found quite accurate. I also really want to know what Tao Tao's reaction would be if my life were used as a threat."

But there's also one thing I believe is wrong.

Her gaze suddenly sharpened. "You said you'd train Tao Tao like a dog?"

"Don't you know? She's mine!"

"Even if she turns into a dog, she'll still be mine!"

In this world, only the female lead can protect me from the male leads and ensure my survival.

This is the destiny of a villainous cannon fodder that must be changed!

"Hey, you, close the window. I'm afraid she'll scream too loudly in a moment."

Chi Xiaocheng looked coldly at the follower with disheveled hair and a sullen face.

Then she extended her tongue and licked the blade. "Orange juice-flavored. Isn't it quite good?"
