Chapter 5 – Gotta Make Use Of This Adorable Body’S Advantages
This body was far too weak.
It was already that of a sickly, malnourished little girl, and now she had gone and bled herself on top of it.
The moment the adrenaline faded, Chi Xiaocheng belatedly felt an overwhelming wave of suffocating discomfort.
Her head spun, her vision blurred, and she barely clung to consciousness by sheer willpower.
"System, how many emotional points do I have right now?"
Chi Xiaocheng forced herself up, her tiny body leaning against the shoe cabinet. Her legs sprawled inelegantly outward, her skirt riding up to reveal the alluring curve of her thighs.
Even if the pose was undignified, she couldn’t bring herself to care anymore.
The system in her mind responded:
[Host, you currently have 68 points.]
"Huh, that’s more than I expected."
She had assumed buying the Newbie Pack would’ve drained all her emotional points.
[Ye Liang also had an emotional reaction toward you due to Su Tao’s words.]
Chi Xiaocheng checked the logs—Ye Liang had only contributed 30 points.
If someone truly wanted to kill another person, they wouldn’t provide such a measly amount of emotional value.
Looks like Su Tao talked him down.
Ah, my dear Taotao~
You really saved my life.
Chi Xiaocheng smiled brightly, though the faint traces of dried blood at the corner of her lips made the expression eerily enchanting.
"System, filter the shop for me. Within my budget, I need medicine that can immediately treat my body’s condition."
[Recommended purchase: System Brand Vitamin C Pill. One dose, instant effect.]
"Buy, buy, buy!"
[50 emotional points deducted.]
A flash of white light, and a pill appeared in Chi Xiaocheng’s hand. The system thoughtfully provided a glass of water in her other hand.
She swallowed it immediately.
Before long, a soothing warmth spread through her body.
Her lower abdomen grew hot.
The ringing in her ears gradually faded, and some strength returned to her limbs.
After resting for over ten minutes, Chi Xiaocheng slowly stood up.
"It works fast, but damn, it’s expensive."
Fifty emotional points—she had practically traded her life for those!
Only now, safely out of danger, did Chi Xiaocheng have the chance to review her character’s situation.
Without a doubt, she was a cannon-fodder antagonist.
And not just any antagonist—a stupid one, incapable of reading the room or leveraging her own advantages.
The female lead, Su Tao, had treated her well. Aside from the male leads, she also had a swarm of side characters fawning over her.
Had she just played her cards right—acting like a white lotus, driving a wedge between the female lead and the male side characters—she could’ve lived comfortably. With luck, she might’ve even won over one of the male leads.
But no.
It was like she’d been cursed.
She relentlessly targeted the female lead, who had genuinely cared for her, and the male leads who had initially held favorable impressions of her.
If Su Tao’s favorability toward Chi Xiaocheng had been 80 points two years ago…
Now, it had probably plummeted into the negatives.
"What a waste of this body and its natural advantages."
Chi Xiaocheng sighed and took a sip of water. "I guess this is just the fate of cannon fodder—life or death depends entirely on how the author writes it."
Changing this doomed ending wouldn’t be easy.
But.
It wasn’t impossible.
As long as Su Tao hadn’t completely given up on her, the female lead’s protagonist halo could still keep her alive for now.
Shaking her head, Chi Xiaocheng pushed those thoughts aside.
After being stuck in the basement for so long, getting intimate with Su Tao, and then being chased halfway across the school, she felt disgustingly sticky.
She desperately needed a shower.
But before undressing, she stopped in front of the bathroom mirror—and nearly jumped out of her skin.
"What the hell is this?!"
The reflection staring back at her was a mess.
Her slightly rounded face was caked in cheap foundation, much of it smeared from sweat.
Her eyeliner was a disaster, her blush unevenly slapped on. Even though Chi Xiaocheng had been a guy in her past life, she could tell the original owner had used bottom-tier makeup.
No matter how naturally pretty a girl was, this kind of sabotage would tank her attractiveness.
Only then did Chi Xiaocheng remember—the original owner had been influenced by her so-called "friends," who insisted that college girls had to wear makeup. It didn’t matter if it looked bad; what mattered was the confidence.
Every time she painted her face like this, those "friends" would cheer, "Slay, queen! Confidence is everything!" And the gullible original owner believed them.
She walked around looking like a ghost every day.
"No wonder the male leads’ favorability was in the gutter. This is a looks-based society!"
Chi Xiaocheng was so glad she hadn’t let that "Yuzu-fan" bystander see her face earlier when she asked for help.
Otherwise, things might not have ended so well.
"Ugh, even I can’t stand how dirty this is."
She scrubbed at her face with water, then paused. "Wait, shouldn’t I be using makeup remover for this? Let me see where..."
…Huh. She was really getting into the whole "being a girl" thing.
After some effort, the cheap makeup was finally gone.
Her bare face, dotted with water droplets, stared back from the mirror.
A delicate nose, refined features. Though still somewhat pale, her sickly demeanor added a fragile, pitiable charm.
Her long, tea-brown hair cascaded down, and Chi Xiaocheng ran her fingers through it, her eyes lighting up.
The texture was amazing—no signs of malnutrition at all.
And most importantly…
This natural face was criminally cute!
With her slightly chubby cheeks and a pout, the sheer lethal cuteness of this legal loli could one-shot any lolicon.
Her skin was smooth and pale as jade.
"What was the original owner thinking?! This face could easily outshine most girls her age. That clown makeup dragged her looks down by several tiers!"
"At the very least, she could’ve thrown on some thick-rimmed glasses and an ugly oversized coat, played up the frail act—with this face, she could’ve cosplayed Shen Youchu and melted hearts!"
"Ah—"
She opened her mouth and checked her teeth.
A pink tongue, small and even pearly whites, with a tiny pointed canine slightly protruding. It didn’t ruin the overall look—if anything, for certain people, it was a moe point.
"With looks like this, this level of cuteness… If I’d transmigrated into her as a kid, none of those male leads would’ve stood a chance."
Chi Xiaocheng could’ve easily turned Su Tao gay and claimed her.
She stripped and stepped into the shower.
"Breasts need not be large—shape is what matters.
Hips need not be perky—roundness is enough."
Though her body was a bit thin, for her height (153 cm), it wasn’t too underdeveloped.
If not for her current exhaustion, Chi Xiaocheng would’ve loved to explore the wonders of being a girl.
After drying off, she walked into her room and opened the closet.
Once dressed, she frowned at the room’s decor.
Unlike her delicate, pitiable appearance, the space was filled with sinister items.
Posters of the male leads covered the walls. On the desk were voodoo dolls labeled "Su Tao," each stabbed full of needles. Photos of the female lead had their faces slashed with a knife.
Chi Xiaocheng sighed and got to work.
She packed up all the cursed objects and threw them out, leaving the room simple and clean. Wiping away a light sweat, she grabbed her phone.
After some thought, she turned on a cool-toned light to accentuate her pale complexion, forced out a couple of tears, and—
"Click."

"A natural beauty—no filters or edits needed. Adorable as hell."
