Chapter 137 135. The Restless Long Xing

Jan 07, 2026 1,434 words

On the way back to campus, Su Peng kept wondering whether what An Han meant was for him to push harder—playing hard to get.

That flushed face, that soft, delicate tone—it really did seem like it…

But ever since they got back, An Han had stopped paying attention to him altogether. She clearly looked a little angry.

“I was originally thinking we could eat out before coming back,” he sighed, rubbing his temples.

Sometimes he felt like An Han liked him too. Whenever he moved a little closer, An Han would always show a shy expression. Yet at the same time, An Han kept avoiding him, as if she’d seen a ghost.

Girls’ thoughts were really hard to guess.

“Eating at the cafeteria?” Su Peng quickened his pace and caught up with An Han ahead.

“I’ll take it back to eat,” An Han glanced at the time on her phone and explained. “My sons are probably starving by now.”

She tried her best to act calm, as if she’d forgotten what had happened earlier.

But no matter how she thought about it, she couldn’t understand why Su Peng was becoming increasingly uninhibited toward a man.

Back when his affection was in the low nineties, even if Su Peng liked her, he never dared show it—no confession, no letting others know. And now that his affection had hit a hundred, at most he should only dare to secretly confess and date in private.

At least with that forced kiss before, he had the sense to drag her into a deserted alley.

But these past two days, Su Peng had started actively trying to hold her hand. His attitude toward her was more and more like that of someone caring for a girlfriend, as if he wasn’t worried at all about people finding out this was between two men.

Could it be that Su Peng knew I’m a woman?

That question surfaced again, yet no matter how she thought about it, An Han couldn’t figure out how Su Peng could have found out.

She packed four portions of lunch at the cafeteria, then went to the supermarket next door and bought two bottles of ice-cold cola.

Su Peng’s gaze landed on the cola, and he hesitated, wanting to say something.

Although An Han hadn’t shown any reaction to drinking iced cola before, he worried that if she kept abusing her body like this, she’d suffer from period pain sooner or later.

“Let’s go.”

“Can’t you stop drinking cold drinks?”

“In this kind of summer heat, if I don’t drink cold stuff, what should I drink?” An Han walked past him expressionlessly, heading toward the dorm building.

Su Peng lagged behind and didn’t pursue the topic further.

Walking behind her, his gaze kept drifting to the calves exposed beneath An Han’s shorts, then subconsciously fell on her hips swaying lightly with each step.

Even though they were loose shorts, the fabric around the hips was stretched by her perky curves, outlining a small, firm, round little butt.

It was a pity that neither of her tops cinched at the waist—otherwise it would have shown off that wasp waist and perky hips even more.

“Su Peng…”

“Hm?”

An Han turned her head, her face darkening. “Are you sick or what?!”

“What did I do now?”

Don’t think I don’t know you’ve been staring from behind!

That gaze practically has substance, okay?!

She irritably twisted her body and glanced at her own butt, pressed her lips together, and quickened her pace into a light jog toward the dorm.

This pair of shorts had fit just right when she left earlier, but now they almost felt like yoga pants!

Damn it! Freaking pervert!

If this happened between friends, you wouldn’t be silently staring like that!

An Han shot Su Peng an angry glare.

Su Peng could only return an helpless, innocent smile.

Her body stat had gone up again. After getting back to the dorm, she’d have to carefully observe exactly where she’d developed more—what had become even more eye-catching to men.

Lost in thought, she hurried to the dorm door.

Without greeting Su Peng, who was heading to the neighboring dorm, An Han adjusted her mood slightly, grinned, and kicked the dorm door open.

“Sons! Your dad brought food back!”

“Holy crap! I’m starving!”

Chen Junjie jumped up from his computer chair and leaned over eagerly. “What did you buy? Let me pick first.”

“What are you in such a hurry for?!” An Han swaggered to her desk with the lunches, lined up the four meals in a row, basked in the worshipful gazes of her three roommates, then pushed one box of fried noodles toward Wang Sheng. “Your fried noodles.”

“I asked for fried rice,” Wang Sheng looked up, dumbfounded.

“Be glad you’ve got something to eat!”

An Han showed not the slightest remorse, then called out to Long Xing, “Brother Long! I got you cola!”

“Thanks!” Long Xing turned around, leaned back in his chair, and caught the cola she tossed him.

“Dad, what dishes did you get?” Chen Junjie was still craning his neck to inspect the food boxes.

“Two meat dishes and one vegetable, just like you said.” An Han opened the boxes to show them. “You two pick yourselves. I already chose what I like.”

She stretched and headed for the balcony. “Remember to transfer me the money.”

Bringing food for her roommates was a bit of a hassle, but every time she came back and saw these hungry-looking guys staring at her with anticipation, a strange sense of satisfaction would rise in her heart.

Especially Chen Junjie—his mouth was usually pretty foul, but at times like this, he was surprisingly likable.

After going to the bathroom and washing her face, An Han lifted her head and discovered that Long Xing had also come onto the balcony.

“Does the food I bought suit your taste?” she asked casually, about to head back inside to eat.

“Wait a moment.”

An Han turned back in surprise. “What’s up?”

Her heart suddenly skipped a beat, and she hurriedly asked the system in her mind.

【Long Xing: Affection 82】

Damn—since when?! Why did it go up again?! Is it because of long-term exposure?!

An Han’s pupils shrank. She subconsciously tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, then braced herself. “Is something wrong?”

Long Xing hesitated, not knowing how to speak.

Short hair, flat chest, lively personality with a bit of a boyish vibe—current An Han almost perfectly matched his preferences. And for some reason, he felt An Han was becoming more and more like a girl. It wasn’t just her appearance, but her overall aura.

He was finding it harder and harder to see An Han as a man.

“You… you…” He scratched his head in distress. “Why are you getting more and more like a girl lately?”

Suppressing the urge to run, An Han replied calmly, “It’s not like I want to look like a girl.”

“But… it’s not just how you look.”

After becoming a girl, maybe besides the equipment, there were other changes too.

For example, stronger female hormones, making me more attractive to men?

Thinking this, An Han suddenly smiled and asked, “Brother Long, you’re not falling for me, are you?”

“No, no!” Long Xing shook his head in panic.

As expected, affection in the low eighties wasn’t enough for Long Xing to admit something like that.

Good. That put her at ease—and she could give him a warning while she was at it.

“Brother Long! The thing I hate most in this world is gay guys! They’re disgusting!” She put on a look of revulsion. “Good thing you’re not one.”

Long Xing felt as if ten thousand arrows had pierced his heart. He stood there completely stunned.

Perfect. A critical hit.

An Han let out a sigh of relief and hurried back into the dorm to eat lunch.

This way, at least Long Xing wouldn’t dare launch a straightforward, aggressive advance like Su Peng did.

If another one showed up, she’d really get a headache.
