That evening, An Han sat alone on the sofa in the rented apartment.
She curled up her legs, bent forward, and rested her chin in her hands against her knees, staring at the program playing on the TV.
Televisions these days were getting more and more ridiculous. When you turned them on, you had to watch ads first. You couldn’t go straight back to the last channel you were watching, and they came pre-installed with a bunch of video apps, every single one forcing people to buy memberships.
A perfectly good television had been turned into a collection of useless apps.
An Han yawned, but her mind suddenly recalled Su Peng teasing her at noon. She couldn’t help covering her face with both hands, feeling the warm softness of her flushed cheeks.
“Pervert… how could he even say something like that?”
Su Peng used to tease and joke with her verbally, but now it had already crossed into outright flirting!
But it felt so nice to hear it~
When it came to relationships, people in their country tended to be reserved and subtle. Even An Han couldn’t escape that trait.
It was still early. Normally Su Peng would play games with her at night, but today he had gone to the combat club to work out. He said he had gained quite a bit of weight recently and needed to lose some.

“A sweater?”
She picked up what looked like a rag and spread it open, only then realizing it was actually a sleeveless mini dress.

The sweater was very small. The fabric could cover the neck, chest, abdomen, and hips, but the rest was completely exposed. The back and sleeves were empty.
Even before putting it on, An Han’s face had already turned bright red. She could practically imagine how incredibly seductive she would look wearing it.
“Maybe it would be better if I paired it with pants…”

“Are you really that timid?” Ren Chi stood outside the door expressionlessly. “Your parents were worried about you, so they asked me to come check on you.”
“My parents? What’s there to worry about… aren’t you meddling too much?”
“I just happened to pass by on the way back.”
He glanced inside the apartment.
“Su Peng isn’t here?”
Realizing Ren Chi had come with instructions from her parents, An Han quickly shook her head.
“How could he be here?”
“But I see you two going to school together every morning…”
Before Ren Chi could finish, An Han immediately interrupted and explained,
“He just rides his bicycle to pick me up and drop me off! He’s never come upstairs!”
“Mm.” Ren Chi narrowed his eyes with a smile.
“Why do you look like some old fox…” An Han muttered, then counterattacked. “What’s going on between you and Long-ge?”
The smiling expression instantly vanished. Even with Ren Chi’s strong composure, he couldn’t keep his face straight anymore. He sighed helplessly.
“It feels like he’s looking for excuses to get close to me.”
“Oh~ what do you think of him? Long-ge is actually a really nice person~”
“……”
An Han’s offensive came like an endless tide, quickly seizing the initiative.
“Who told you to wear women’s clothes near the school just for the thrill~”
“Long-ge probably wouldn’t do anything too excessive to you, right? At most he’d just force a kiss…”

Ren Chi couldn’t take it anymore. He raised his hand and knocked her on the head.

You can’t win the argument so you resort to violence!
“You help me deal with Long Xing, and I’ll help you deal with your parents,” Ren Chi proposed.
“How am I supposed to help you! You might as well just tell Long-ge you already have a boyfriend or girlfriend!”
He paused.
“Long Xing hasn’t confessed yet…”
“Then wear women’s clothes and say it!”
Ren Chi wasn’t as naive as An Han had once been. He didn’t fall for the suggestion.
He refused immediately.
“You say it. I’ll help keep quiet about you living with Su Peng.”
“When did I ever live with Su Peng! Which eye of yours saw that?!”
Last time it had only been because Su Peng got drunk, and she had no choice but to let him stay for a night. And nothing strange had happened between them!
Why did it sound so weird coming out of Ren Chi’s mouth?!
“I didn’t see anything.”

Only then did An Han realize Ren Chi was threatening her.
“Fine…”
She drooped her head gloomily. She had only wanted to watch the drama, but now she had to get involved herself.
From the way Long Xing acted so persistently, it clearly wouldn’t be solved just by her saying something like “the counselor doesn’t like you.”
