Chapter 142 140. Intimate Contact

Jan 07, 2026 1,363 words

The dorm was almost completely dark, with only the glow from the screen illuminating everyone’s faces.

Su Peng was trembling, seemingly instinctively leaning toward the person beside him. His shoulder pressed against An Han’s as he stared straight at the screen, watching the increasingly terrifying and eerie plot and visuals.

The horror atmosphere created by the BGM spread through the dorm, and everyone fell silent—but An Han’s mind was hardly on the movie at all.

This bastard Su Peng! Is he taking the chance to cop a feel?!

She leaned her body to the side, trying to avoid Su Peng’s contact, but he stubbornly kept inching closer to her.

With so many people around, what the hell are you thinking?!

Aren’t you afraid we’ll both socially die?!

Are you sick or what?!

With nowhere left to dodge, An Han froze, using the corner of her vision to observe the others.

Thankfully, everyone seemed focused on the movie. No one was paying attention to what was happening on her side.

So she reached out, gently placed her hand on Su Peng’s thigh, then steeled her heart and pinched the soft flesh hard.

Su Peng’s body twitched. He turned his head and looked at her with a confused expression.

Stop acting, damn it!

An Han glared at him angrily and shoved his shoulder away.

Su Peng sat up straight with an innocent look and returned his attention to the screen. Not long after, his body began to tilt again—this time toward Wang Sheng on his other side.

Wang Sheng was clearly a little surprised, but in the atmosphere of a horror movie, huddling together for warmth seemed perfectly normal. He didn’t make a fuss about it and even leaned toward Su Peng on his own. The two of them pressed together, trembling in unison.

An Han kept watching Su Peng’s movements, starting to wonder if she’d misunderstood him.

Maybe he really is scared?

And he claims he’s trained in combat since elementary school and has a decent physique—yet he’s not even braver than me!

This horror movie had a rating above nine. Not only was the atmosphere eerie and the visuals frightening, it also featured plenty of gory scenes, making viewers’ hearts pound nonstop.

Even Long Xing, usually the bravest, showed a hint of fear. An Han quickly glanced back and realized Wu Dongming no longer dared to watch—his head lowered as he played on his phone, though he couldn’t resist the movie’s pull and occasionally looked up.

Chen Junjie, on the other hand, watched with great enthusiasm.

Except for this guy, is everyone else a wimp?!

It’s just a horror movie!

An Han put one foot up on the chair, hugged her calf with her arms, and turned her attention to the film.

As she gradually immersed herself in the atmosphere, her heartbeat quickened and her nerves tightened.

Su Peng quietly leaned over again, but this time she didn’t react. Frightened and tense, she straightened her body, leaning back instinctively to distance herself from the screen—only to be stopped by the chair back.

Suddenly, a ghostly figure flashed across the screen.

“Fuck!” Long Xing burst out with a curse.

An Han jolted in fright, almost instinctively pressing herself against Su Peng beside her.

His slightly higher body temperature briefly soothed her startled heart. She took a breath and glanced at Su Peng’s expression.

He looks even more scared than me.

She could feel the trembling coming from his body. His usually handsome face was slightly twisted with fear.

At that moment, An Han finally remembered her female identity.

It’s not embarrassing!

Look at how scared these grown men are. At least I didn’t scream like other girls, or start swearing like Long Xing.

An Han completely relaxed. Turns out Su Peng wasn’t any braver than she was.

So his behavior must’ve been the same as hers—just instinctively huddling with the nearest person for comfort.

The light from the screen grew dimmer, plunging the dorm into even deeper darkness. Faces were reduced to vague outlines.

This made An Han even more tense. Her gaze darted away from the screen, and her body leaned further toward Su Peng.

Her attention became fully absorbed in the movie, her awareness of her surroundings fading. As the plot progressed, she almost projected herself into the protagonist, every muscle in her body taut.

Yet a reassuring warmth gradually enveloped her, calming her heart without her even realizing it.

As the film approached its ending, everyone’s tightly held nerves slowly eased—only for the screen to suddenly be filled with a distorted face.

“Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!”

For a man who’d just been scared out of his wits, that was about the only word he could manage.

An Han was actually startled more by her roommates’ shouting than by the movie itself. She shuddered, then relaxed when she saw the end credits.

Finally, it’s over.

After two hours, nearly everyone’s back was soaked with cold sweat. The group let out long sighs, still feeling unsatisfied.

“I’m gonna have psychological trauma from this shit! Damn!”

“I’m definitely having nightmares tonight!”

An Han was just about to speak when she suddenly realized something was off about the warmth enveloping her body.

So wait!

Su Peng, when the hell did you wrap your arm around me?!

She lowered her head and looked at the hand around her waist, then slowly turned her head to look beside her.

Without realizing it, she’d almost been pulled fully into Su Peng’s embrace.

She was practically half-lying against his chest, her hand unconsciously gripping his palm. She could even smell a faint, indescribable body scent from him.

It wasn’t exactly the scenario she’d imagined—being scared into diving into Su Peng’s arms—but the outcome seemed pretty much the same.

Sensing her gaze, Su Peng looked down and met her eyes, then gave an innocent smile. “That scared the hell out of me. This movie was way too scary.”

“……”

You’re scared by the movie, yet you still have the presence of mind to grope me?

What a calculation! First you pretend to be scared to lower my guard, then you sneak in a grab when I’m not paying attention!

An Han smiled and reached out, ready to launch an attack—but Su Peng immediately let go of her waist and stood up happily. “I’ll turn on the lights.”

She could only give up. Turning her head to look at the others, she noticed that at some point, Chen Junjie had sat on Long Xing’s lap and was enthusiastically discussing the plot.

Maybe Chen Junjie’s previous seat had a bad viewing angle?

Though the two of them were also in fairly intimate contact, their minds were simple enough that they were just roughhousing and chatting together, seeing nothing inappropriate about it.

“Get up already, my leg’s going numb from you sitting on it.” Long Xing shoved Chen Junjie’s back, only to realize the room had suddenly brightened.

“Huh? Why turn on the lights? Let’s watch another one.”

The very person who hadn’t wanted to watch a movie at first now wanted to continue.

Everyone else ignored him, chatting among themselves about the plot and the scary scenes.

An Han dragged her chair back to her own desk, resting her chin on one hand—only then realizing her face felt a little hot.

Her body didn’t reject contact with Su Peng.

Her mind was even starting to grow accustomed to it… numb to it.

In the past, she would’ve exploded in anger, but now she actually felt pretty good—just a bit worried about being seen by her roommates.

Between men, close physical contact might seem normal to her roommates—but she was a girl now, and Su Peng clearly had ulterior motives and impure thoughts.
