Chapter 182 180. Monday

Jan 16, 2026 1,492 words

“Have you heard? Someone saw An Han wearing women’s clothes on campus.”

“Seriously?”

“Yeah, it’s real. There are photos in the group chat—check the records from Saturday.”

“An Han looks like she was on a date with Su Peng!”

“No way.”

“I heard she’s actually a girl!”

On Monday, An Han lay listlessly on her desk. A large number of curious, scrutinizing gazes fell on her, and faint whispers of discussion drifted into her ears.

She truly couldn’t understand how a single instance of cross-dressing had led people to guess the truth.

In class, the three roommates were still sitting beside her. Last night’s get-together lasted only an hour; no one drank much, and they left An Han’s rental before the evening roll call.

Who knew how those guys ate! Not only was the table a complete mess, the tiled floor was covered in footprints and grease stains as well.

Cleaning up last night took an hour, and then she couldn’t sleep because she wasn’t used to the bed, so she hadn’t slept well at all.

“Women’s clothes? What women’s clothes?” Chen Junjie asked curiously, craning his neck left and right. He glanced at An Han, and seeing that she didn’t plan to respond, turned to ask others.

An Han let out a lifeless sigh.

Being the center of attention wasn’t a good feeling. Amid the murmurs, her secret had already been exposed—though for now, it was still just speculation.

She lowered her head to look at her shoulders. With the weather cooler, wearing a jacket kept things hidden, but once summer arrived, the bra underneath would be easy to notice.

Since it was bound to be exposed sooner or later, letting her classmates have some psychological preparation now wasn’t a bad thing.

“An Han, how does it feel living off campus?” Wang Sheng asked quietly. “I thought you snuck out to live elsewhere, but the dorm supervisor didn’t say anything when he saw you weren’t there last night.”

“I told the counselor,” An Han replied.

She glanced at him, a hint of a smile appearing as she teased, “How was your date with the girl yesterday afternoon?”

“We just went to an internet café to play games.”

“Nothing else?”

Wang Sheng’s face flushed red as he shook his head. “No! We’ve only known each other for a little over a day—what could we do?”

“Fair enough.”

Not hearing the gossip she wanted, An Han slumped back down onto the desk.

The morning classes were relatively easy, mostly filler courses. Not needing to focus, she simply closed her eyes on the desk to catch up on sleep.

Just as she had expected, after moving off campus, her interactions with Su Peng had decreased.

After Su Peng enthusiastically helped her move yesterday, she didn’t see him again until class today. He didn’t have permission to live off campus and didn’t dare act too conspicuously in front of classmates. The harassment would be much less in the future.

She really wanted to say, “That’s great,” but somehow there was a tiny sense of loss in her heart.

When the bell rang, An Han brushed aside those strange feelings and followed her roommates toward the cafeteria.

“An Han, want to eat together?”

Sure enough, Su Peng caught up from behind.

“I’m eating with my roommates.” An Han shifted closer to the three of them. “You can come too if you want.”

“That’s not—”

Su Peng had wanted to suggest eating alone together. It didn’t matter what they ate; as long as it was just the two of them.

But An Han seemed completely unaware of his intention. She cheerfully quickened her pace to catch up with Long Xing, looking up as she teased, “Brother Long, hurry up and take off your jacket. We need you to make an appearance today.”

Long Xing scratched his buzz cut awkwardly. “Why is it me again…”

On an ordinary day, he could get his ID checked twice just riding the subway. As soon as he took off his jacket and revealed that quick-dry T-shirt, his intimidating presence among students would be maxed out.

Su Peng steeled himself and followed along, feeling like three glaring lightbulbs were blindingly bright.

And An Han seemed to have completely forgotten about him—teasing Long Xing’s underworld-like appearance, poking fun at Wang Sheng chatting with girls even while walking, and occasionally bickering with Chen Junjie over trivial matters—yet she didn’t pay him any attention at all.

Su Peng felt excluded.

“An Han, want to go stroll around Student Street later?”

After eating, he was the first to invite her.

With her mouth stuffed full of fried rice, An Han looked up, her cheeks puffed out like a hamster’s. “I’m going to take a nap.”

Her voice was muffled. After quickly chewing and swallowing, she repeated, “I’m going back to take a nap. I didn’t sleep well last night—new bed.”

“I see… then when will you have time?”

“Let me think…” An Han deliberately lowered her head in thought, planning softly. “Nap at noon, after class in the evening it’s already six. After going back to the rental I need to shower, do laundry, clean up, play games…”

She turned to look at Su Peng and finally concluded, “I don’t have time even during classes!”

You weren’t this busy when you lived in the dorm before!

Su Peng’s eyelid twitched.

But thinking about it, when An Han lived in the dorm, she always had her own things to do, and he was the one shamelessly tagging along.

Before, dropping by didn’t seem like a problem, but now that An Han lived alone, even though he’d rented a place nearby, visiting was much more troublesome.

Whether An Han would open the door was a question, and the rental didn’t even have a balcony to climb over.

“Weekend, then. I should be free on the weekend,” An Han said with a sweet smile.

She’d keep Su Peng appeased for now, then find something to do on the weekend to avoid him.

She was broke anyway; doing some part-time work wouldn’t be bad.

“Alright, I’ll come find you on the weekend.”

Su Peng finished eating the fastest and was the first to clear his tray and leave.

An Han finally let out a sigh of relief and turned to the roommates who had been listening the whole time. “Why are you looking at me with such weird expressions?”

“I used to think you two were pretty close. Now it feels like you’re avoiding him,” Long Xing asked in confusion, a trace of hope rising in his heart.

“Our relationship was never good!” An Han blurted out.

【Long Xing’s favorability +2】

An Han’s expression changed, and she immediately wanted to take it back and explain.

But Wang Sheng muttered softly, “I think they’re just having a little spat.”

Having carefully observed the interactions between An Han and Su Peng, he felt they were hiding something—maybe they were even secretly dating each other.

【Long Xing’s favorability -2】

You’re really going back and forth here!

The heart she had just lifted sank again.

Long Xing’s disappointment was obvious. He nodded. “Yeah, Xiao Han is really stubborn.”

“How am I stubborn?!”

“If it’s An Han, that’s called tsundere,” Chen Junjie teased as usual. “After all, An Han looks like a girl.”

Too lazy to bother with Chen Junjie, An Han stood up and picked up her tray. “I’m going back to take a nap.”

Her phone rang again. She stopped, sat back down, and, under the puzzled gazes of the others, took out her phone and slapped it onto the table.

“Help me curse these scammers out! Damn it, they just won’t leave me alone! More annoying than cockroaches!”

“What’s going on?”

At the mention of scammers, the three immediately perked up.

“They say I won a prize. The moment I hear ‘prize’ I hang up, and they keep calling to harass me every day!” An Han complained angrily. “What era is this, still using such stupid scams! Less reliable than Qin Shi Huang asking for money!”

The three heads immediately leaned in, staring at the unfamiliar number on the phone.

Chen Junjie cleared his throat. “I’ll curse them for you!”

He then answered the call.
