Chapter 165 163. Su Peng, Danger
About five or six minutes later, An Han came out, a towel draped over her head. One hand held the towel in place as she wiped her hair and pushed open the bathroom door.
Droplets of water fell from the tips of her hair, dampening her cheeks and collar. Her hair was messy and wet, limply clinging to her forehead and face. Her face was flushed, her lips slightly parted. Having just finished showering, her skin seemed to carry a clean, porcelain-like sheen. She looked like a lotus emerging from water—fresh, yet with a kind of disheveled, scattered beauty.
Su Peng, who was outside on the balcony, froze for a moment, then quickly pulled himself out of her allure. “That was fast.”
“What else would it be?” An Han hugged the towel with both hands and rubbed her head, looking a little silly.
She sneezed, pushed open the back door, and walked into the dorm, with Su Peng following behind her. His gaze swept over her cool outfit of a short-sleeved top and shorts, and the perky curve of her hips that was clearly visible from behind.
“You usually come out like this after showering…”
“Today there’s no one in the dorm. Normally I’d get dressed properly in the bathroom before coming out.” An Han turned her head and shot him a glare. “I didn’t bring a jacket or long pants in. How would I know you’d just climb over the wall and come in?”
She quickly threw on a jacket, plopped down in front of the computer, grabbed the hair dryer, and started blow-drying her hair in a messy, careless way.
“You’re really nosy. Even what I wear after showering is your business?”
An Han muttered, leaning back slightly against the chair, crossing her legs, and using her hand to rake through her wet hair along with the dryer.
Su Peng stood to the side with his arms crossed, watching her dry her hair without saying anything, simply admiring her profile.
“If you’ve got nothing to do, hurry up and get lost. I still need to wash clothes.”
Her tone was full of disdain. An Han always felt more alert and uncomfortable when he was around.
“How about I help you wash them?”
“Oh~ Young Master can actually wash clothes by hand?” An Han teased as she turned to look at him. “Aren’t you always using the washing machine?”
Su Peng paused for a moment. “I can help you throw them into the washing machine.”
“Forget it. The school’s washing machines are filthy.”
Ever since she found out that her dorm mates threw underwear, socks, and clothes all together into the washing machines, An Han had been too grossed out to ever use them again. Their behavior was understandable—just laziness—but who knew what even more outrageous things other students might do?
After just a few minutes, her right hand holding the dryer began to ache. An Han put the dryer down, shook her arm, and touched her half-dry hair.
Su Peng immediately found a way to be attentive. “Want me to help you dry it?”
“Get lost! Stay at least one meter away from me!”
“……”
An Han didn’t care whether her unapproachable attitude hurt Su Peng’s feelings. If it did, she’d be even happier. She was only worried that if he got too close, she might end up falling into his trap again.
However, Su Peng seemed not to hear her at all. He walked straight over and picked up the hair dryer from the desk.
“Hey!” An Han protested unhappily, only to have her head pressed down by a hand.
“If your hair’s half-wet when you sleep, you could get a stroke.” Su Peng seriously parted her hair and carefully dried it strand by strand, talking the whole time. “Relax, I’m good at blow-drying. Back in middle and high school I was pretty vain—I spent half an hour every morning styling my hair.”
That sudden, forceful attitude again!
It caught her completely off guard, leaving her no time to refuse or run away.
An Han wanted to put on an exaggerated show of resistance, but the moment she moved uneasily, her head was held down firmly.
“Don’t move.”
Su Peng’s tone was calm and serious, different from his usual gentleness. It suddenly reminded her of how terrifying he looked when angry, his face dark and fierce. She shrank her neck and obediently turned into a quail.
Anyway, she was the one being served. No loss there.
And tomorrow she could get her revenge on Su Peng!
She’d dress up nicely, make that girl feel inferior, and spill some of Su Peng’s embarrassing stories—talk about his shameful secrets…
Tomorrow! She absolutely had to make Su Peng lose face in front of his blind date!
That blind date must be connected to his parents somehow. Once his parents found out how the date went, they’d definitely grab him and scold him thoroughly!
Just imagining Su Peng’s gloomy face then made An Han feel refreshed.
And he was the one who invited her to go. Even if she ruined it, he wouldn’t take it out on her.
“All done.”
An Han jolted, startled, and immediately guiltily tossed all those bad thoughts out of her head, as if being any slower would let Su Peng read her wicked mind.
“How does it look?” he asked.
“How would it look? As long as it’s dry, it’s fine.”
She casually ruffled her smooth, dry hair, not caring what style it ended up in, yawned, and got up to head to the balcony to wash clothes.
Entering the bathroom, she picked up the bucket full of clothes and brought it to the sink. Just as An Han was about to take out her underwear, she turned her head and stared fixedly at Su Peng.
“What?”
“I’m washing clothes.”
“Hm?”
“Washing. Underwear!”
“You’ve got several sets of your underwear over at my place.”
“……”
It seemed like there was no need to be shy after all. Before being worn, every piece of underwear had already been infused with Su Peng’s scent.
Suddenly, that way of thinking felt kind of awful… like Su Peng had taken her underwear and done something unspeakable with it.
Finding An Han’s slightly shy yet forced-to-stay-calm expression especially cute, Su Peng smiled and stood to the side, watching her take out her underwear to wash. He couldn’t help commenting, “Pretty cute.”
An Han glared at him in embarrassment and anger. “I suspect you’re sexually harassing me!”
“Aren’t you the one who claims to be a man?”
“Then that’s indecent assault!”
“I didn’t even touch you…” Su Peng raised both hands, showing that he hadn’t made any contact.
Unable to argue with him, An Han sighed in despair. “Just get lost already. I have to get up early tomorrow to go on a blind date with you.”
“If you keep annoying me, I’ll sabotage your blind date.”
“Please don’t.” Su Peng’s heart skipped a beat, his scalp instantly tingling. “My blind date is a rich young lady. She doesn’t take jokes well.”
An Han nodded thoughtfully. “Oh~”
She had only seen the term “rich young lady” in novels, but she roughly understood the other party’s family background.
At the very least, she was probably a company owner’s daughter… and judging by the idea of social parity, that meant Su Peng was at least a young master too?
Damn capitalist!
“You’re not really planning to mess things up, are you…?” Su Peng’s face twitched. “You’re actually going?”
“I’m going! If I don’t go, I’m a dog!”
He said he’d bring An Han along, but his original intention was just to provoke her a little—like how An Han used Wang Yu to provoke him—and also to let her know that under his parents’ pressure, he might get engaged at any time, to increase her sense of urgency.
He had thought An Han’s talk about attending the blind date was just a joke, but she seemed pretty serious about it…
Danger!
Su Peng felt his scalp go numb, completely unable to imagine what kind of chaotic scene tomorrow’s blind date would turn into.
