Chapter 283 280. Leaving

Mar 31, 2026 1,436 words

Snuggling closely at Su Peng’s side, An Han’s cheeks unconsciously grew warm and red.

Even though she was only holding Su Peng’s arm—an action she had simply learned from watching couples on the street—her face still flushed bright red from embarrassment.

Looking at the photo on Su Peng’s phone, she asked with a smile, “This one looks good, right?”

“Yeah. I’ll send the photo to you.”

“Don’t post it on Moments though. If our classmates find out…”

“Don’t worry.”

Su Peng smiled gently, but he still awkwardly tugged at his jacket, pulling the hem down a bit longer.

He clearly didn’t have any improper thoughts, yet the moment An Han’s body pressed against him, his body had already begun to react excitedly.

An Han obviously wasn’t intentionally teasing him, but his body simply refused to cooperate.

“I have to go. If I leave any later, I might miss the birthday.”

“Oh…” Just moments ago her face had been full of shy sweetness, but now An Han turned her head away in disappointment.

But the next moment she didn’t even have time to feel disappointed. She subconsciously released Su Peng’s arm, her face flushing red with embarrassment as she stood there at a loss.

Not far away, a man wearing sports shorts and a short-sleeved shirt—probably out for a winter morning run—was staring at An Han and Su Peng in shock.

It was her high school classmate, the little follower who used to trail after her, Shi Yi, whose chest muscles were almost as big as hers, and who had sat beside her at the last high school reunion.

Wait! Why is Shi Yi here?!

At the last class reunion, she had worn a men’s trench coat as a disguise, showing only her delicate face to her old classmates. Shi Yi didn’t know that she was now a girl! At most, he might have subconsciously treated her like a girl because she was pretty.

But just now she had been acting intimately with Su Peng…

She could already imagine rumors appearing in the high school class group chat like “An Han likes men—he’s gay.”

She’d be socially dead in her high school circle!

Her body stiffened instantly. Without hesitation, An Han lowered her head and hid her face behind Su Peng.

“What’s wrong?”

Su Peng lowered his head in confusion, wondering if An Han was too reluctant to part and wanted to hide while wiping away tears.

But her actions didn’t quite match that, so he glanced around and finally noticed Shi Yi on the street.

“Who’s that guy?”

“My high school classmate…”

With her head lowered, An Han said softly, “He thinks I’m a guy.”

And today, because she had come out to see Su Peng, she had deliberately dressed nicely in feminine clothes: fitted jeans and a white fleece jacket. Though the upper half looked bulky, the lower half couldn’t hide her curves…

“Then get in the car.”

Su Peng opened the back door, and An Han immediately jumped inside.

She quickly took out her phone and searched through the high school group chat. Fortunately, she didn’t see any photos of her hugging Su Peng.

Then again, Shi Yi had been out running. With those shorts and shirt, it didn’t look like he even had anywhere to carry a phone.

Still shaken, she looked at Shi Yi through the glass and saw him continuing to jog along the sidewalk.

“Your high school classmate? His physique is pretty good,” Su Peng said after getting into the car, smiling as he turned back to ask. “What’s wrong? That afraid of being discovered?”

“He used to be a really good friend… He doesn’t know I’m a girl.”

Seeing Shi Yi leave, An Han finally relaxed, and the embarrassment on her face gradually faded.

But during the last reunion, Shi Yi’s affection toward her had been rising like crazy. Yet this time, even though she was clearly wearing pretty women’s clothes, she hadn’t seen any notification about his affection level.

So Shi Yi was really just a hardcore onee-san lover! So much so that even gender didn’t matter!

“Oh right.”

She quickly unzipped her jacket and took out a folded medical examination report from the inner pocket.

“Weren’t you curious why I used to have a male identity? Read this and you’ll understand.”

“What is it?”

She handed the report to Su Peng, then nervously opened the car door a crack.

In case the side effects of this system item weren’t just the “Viagra-like” boost to critical hit rate and attack speed, she needed to be ready to run.

It was also because Su Peng was about to leave that she dared to use the system item on him.

“I see.”

Su Peng calmly returned the system item to An Han. Then he picked up a bag from the passenger seat.

“There’s tea I bought for your dad, and some health supplements for your mom.”

He smiled. “And exercise books for your little sister.”

“… ”

An Han froze for a moment, almost laughing out loud. Her eyes curved like crescent moons as she watched Su Peng’s expression, complaining in a dissatisfied tone, “Then what about mine?”

“How could I forget you?”

“Don’t tell me it’s something fancy and useless again…”

Muttering, Su Peng pulled out a small beige shoulder bag from the bag.

“Here. I saw other girls carrying them.”

Indeed, most girls brought a small shoulder bag when going out.

Back when An Han was still male, she had never understood this behavior. After all, when going out you usually only carried keys and a phone—what else would you need a bag for?

But now she happily accepted the bag, looking it over again and again, liking it more the longer she examined it.

Women’s jeans usually had shallow pockets, and phones would often stick halfway out. Luckily it was winter, so most coats had pockets.

Besides, girls really did have more small items to carry. During their period they needed sanitary pads. Those who cared about their appearance might carry a small mirror. If they wore makeup when going out, they’d also bring cosmetics for touch-ups…

“How much did this cost?”

“As long as you like it, why ask about the price?”

“It wasn’t thousands, right?”

Su Peng scratched his head and answered awkwardly, “I’m not familiar with this place, so I just bought it from a roadside shop. A little over a hundred.”

“That’s good then. Cheap and pretty.”

An Han liked the bag even more now.

“I should get going,” Su Peng sighed after checking the time. “Remember to give the gifts to your parents for me.”

“I know.”

A sense of loss rose in her heart. An Han lowered her eyes and hung the bag over her shoulder.

She got out of the car and walked to the driver’s window, still smiling as she asked, “Does it look good?”

“Yeah. It suits you well. My taste isn’t bad.”

“Don’t go flirting with other girls during these ten days.”

“Don’t worry. I’m leaving now, okay?”

Su Peng reached his hand out of the car window, and An Han bent down to meet him.

She thought he was going to pat her head, but instead he gently pinched her soft cheek.

“That hurts!” An Han instinctively stepped back.

Her skin was too delicate, and with the sensitivity bonus, even a slight bit of pain made her frown.

“When school starts, I’ll let you pinch me back.”

Like he was running away, Su Peng immediately started the car.

Watching the small car gradually disappear into the morning fog, An Han helplessly rubbed her cheek.

If she hadn’t suddenly noticed Shi Yi earlier and gotten flustered, she should have been the one playing that little prank.

“How did you get corrupted by me so quickly after being with me?”

Su Peng used to be very honest. At most he would tease her verbally, but he wouldn’t do childish things like this.
