Chapter 78 078. The System’s Punishment

Nov 29, 2025 1,456 words

“Wang Yu! Wang Yu!”
“Wang Yu! Get out here and explain yourself!”

Inside the dorm, Wang Yu calmly locked his door, returned to his desk, and acted as if he hadn’t heard a thing—continuing to browse the web as usual.

On his screen was a Baidu search: “Can a girl live in a boys’ dorm?”

There were hardly any serious answers. Scrolling further down, he found a gender-bender novel—and next to it, something that looked suspiciously like erotic fiction with a similar title.

“Wang Yu, there’s a girl looking for you outside,” his roommate said curiously, peering out the window. “Aren’t you gonna open the door?”

Although An Han’s voice remained neutral in pitch, his tone was full of heartbreak and sorrow—like a wronged wife wailing after catching her husband cheating.

Wang Yu shook his head silently and casually downloaded the questionable novel.

He found it increasingly difficult to face An Han. Last night’s encounter had revealed a strange, compelling allure about An Han—one that nearly made him lose control.

Thankfully, he channeled all his energy into fitness… and never trained legs or glutes. Otherwise, he might’ve truly “turned into a wolf” under that seductive spell.

Moreover, An Han’s gender was becoming harder and harder to decipher.

“Don’t hide in there forever! I know you’re in the dorm!”

The door rattled under another round of knocks. Wang Yu glanced over but kept working calmly.

“Wang Yu… you didn’t, uh… do something with that girl, did you?” His roommate gave him a weird look. “If you keep hiding, the whole class will know in a couple days.”

“He’s a guy. You’ve met him.”

“I have?”

“Remember when someone came to the dorm looking for me before?”

His roommate suddenly clicked. “Oh—the cute girl who visited you that day?”

“He’s. A. Guy.”

Wang Yu emphasized it again.

“How could you not know whether they’re male or female?” his roommate muttered.

Wang Yu sighed lightly. If An Han kept shouting like this, he’d never clear his name.

But honestly—who knew the truth?

If An Han was a guy, why was he wearing women’s undergarments?
If An Han was a girl, how had she lived in the boys’ dorm for years without anyone noticing?

According to Wang Sheng, An Han only started becoming noticeably more feminine over the past month.

Could it be possible… that An Han himself didn’t even know he was female until recently?

“Wang Yu!”

After shouting for ages with no response, An Han finally lost it—he kicked the wooden door in frustration. But the moment his foot flew forward, the door swung open. He couldn’t stop his momentum and ended up kicking Wang Yu’s pant leg.

He froze. Wang Yu’s expression visibly darkened.

An Han quickly stepped back, embarrassed. “I—I was just trying to kick the door!”

“What do you want?” Wang Yu asked flatly.

Just moments ago, An Han had been wailing dramatically outside like a betrayed spouse—but now that he was face-to-face with Wang Yu, he shrank instantly, eyes downcast and voice meek. “Did… did you tell Wang Sheng something?”

Even though he knew Wang Yu’s fondness for him was already at 65, Wang Yu’s usual cold, stern face still made An Han worry the guy might snap and punch him at any moment—especially since *his own* fondness for Wang Yu had never been particularly high.

“I mentioned the competition…”

“That doesn’t make sense,” An Han frowned suspiciously. “You must’ve said something else.”

Wang Yu paused, studying An Han’s delicate features. After a moment, he added carefully, “And that I suspect you might be a girl.”

“…”

Now it all made sense.

An Han sighed in exasperation. “I’ve lived in the boys’ dorm for two years! How can you even think that?”

“That’s why I asked Wang Sheng.”

What if all his roommates already knew and just kept quiet?

But Wang Sheng had been just as clueless—only recently starting to treat An Han like a girl due to his changing appearance.

“Stop spreading rumors about me!” An Han leaned against the corridor railing, arms crossed, scowling. “It’s seriously annoying! Wang Sheng’s been looking at me like I’m some kind of alien!”

Wang Yu opened his mouth. “Then what about last night—”

But An Han turned and bolted before he could finish. “My food delivery’s about to arrive! Gotta go!”

He hurried off, terrified Wang Yu would bring up the chest binder.

If he couldn’t explain it, he’d just avoid it entirely. Let Wang Yu speculate all he wanted—just as long as he didn’t turn those “logical” guesses into public rumors.

At the stairwell corner, An Han suddenly peeked back around the wall and shouted, “Don’t forget about the competition! Put some effort into it!”

“Got it.” Wang Yu waved him off with a deadpan expression.

As for Wang Sheng’s dream—An Han had done everything he could.
He could rest easy knowing few people would go to such lengths for a friend’s ambition.

The gaming console he’d planned to get? Just a well-deserved reward for himself.

Now that he was away from Wang Yu’s intimidating presence, the previously timid An Han suddenly felt confident again—striding back into the dorm with exaggerated swagger.

“Wang Sheng! I swear, don’t listen to Wang Yu’s nonsense!” He slammed a hand on Wang Sheng’s desk the moment he entered. “That guy’s a psycho! A socially stunted weirdo!”

Wang Sheng turned to look at him—
—and just then, Wang Yu’s voice crackled through the computer speakers: “What did you just say?”

“…”

An Han hadn’t expected Wang Yu to already be voice-chatting with his roommate for a gaming session—mere minutes after their encounter.

Silent, he nudged Wang Sheng’s shoulder pointedly.

Wang Sheng instantly understood. “That wasn’t An Han! That was Long Xing—Long Xing was insulting you!”

*If you’re gonna cover for me, at least do it properly!*

An Han said nothing, quickly scooting away and pretending to be absorbed in his phone.

He’d intended to open Bilibili to watch a video—but instead, his eyes drifted to the mirror across the room.

After a long pause, he couldn’t resist. He opened a shopping app, bit his lip, and began searching for clothes that suited him.

Ever since gaining the “Aesthetic Trait,” he could no longer tolerate his all-black wardrobe.

Even if he wouldn’t buy pretty women’s clothes… couldn’t he at least try different colors? Some stylish combinations?

But as he browsed, his finger soon hovered—and clicked—on the women’s section.

*This dress is so cute~*
*These hot pants look great—super comfy for wearing in the dorm!*
*This outfit is stunning~*
*This—*

—Wearing this in the dorm would probably land him in the colorectal surgery ward the next day!

An Han’s face darkened. He forced his eyes away from the screen.

*Fine, maybe after summer break—*
Wait! *I’m a man! Why the hell would I wear women’s clothes?!*

*Never looking in the mirror again!*

He stood up and marched toward the door—but after just two steps, he froze in disbelief.

【Option 1: Wear a three-piece women’s outfit in public for one day. Reward: National Treasure-level antique】
【Option 2: Wear a qipao in public for one day. Reward: Pain-Free Period Trait】
【Option 3: Wear women’s clothing in public for one day. Reward: Random Attribute Point】

It triggered a *task*?!

An Han instantly connected this to the suspicious “Aesthetic Trait” he’d received earlier. His face turned green.

The system was setting him up—*multiple traps in a row!*

No problem! He’d already found a loophole!

He casually selected Option 1—the one task he’d *never* complete. And even if he somehow did, a National Treasure wasn’t a bad reward.

【Once selected, if you show no intention to complete the task, the system will enforce it automatically.】

“???”
