Chapter 252 249. Class Reunion
Her parents and younger sister were not at home.
Now that she had become a girl, if she went out to meet her middle and high school friends, she would probably scare them and have to go through a lot of complicated explanations.
Her newly acquainted friend, Lin Yue, had gone to visit relatives for the New Year, so she had little free time these days.
An Han rested her chin on one hand, staring at the messages on her computer screen.
So boring~
When her parents were home, she felt they were too controlling and looked forward to some freedom when alone. But thinking carefully, ever since starting university, she had been too free… so free that she didn’t feel like doing anything at all.
Her phone vibrated.
“Back on the afternoon of the first day of the new year.”
It was a message from her father.
This was a message An Han had been waiting for. In the next moment, she stood up, turned toward her wardrobe, and began packing, planning to give Su Peng a “girlfriend-from-the-sky” surprise.
It was the first day of the New Year, giving her a whole day plus some extra time.
But just as she finished packing, another message appeared on her phone.
It was an @everyone message.
“Everyone’s back for the New Year, right? Let’s have a reunion?”
An Han glanced at it, hesitated for a moment, then opened the class group chat.
It was her senior-year high school class group. Because they had studied hard together and supported each other through the college entrance exam, she had always felt a strong sense of belonging to this class.
In her eyes, there had never been a “villain” in the class. If anyone could be called that, it was probably herself.
Recalling the times she had teased classmates and caused playful trouble, a trace of nostalgia and joy appeared in her eyes.
“Wasn’t it An Han who organized it last year? Where is he? Haven’t seen him in the group for ages.”
“Maybe everyone’s cooled off by now?”
“When’s the reunion?”
“I didn’t go home for the New Year. Remember to take videos and photos and post them in the group.”
Looking at those familiar yet distant names, An Han rested her chin on her hand, unable to stop the corner of her mouth from lifting.
Feels just like old times~
“Six o’clock tonight?”
It was a message from the homeroom teacher. His words immediately sparked strong agreement among the classmates.
“The boss is right!”
“+10086”
“Earlier is better, so no one runs off in the next couple of days.”
“Who has the class’s phone numbers? Contact everyone who can be reached this afternoon.”
“Wasn’t this kind of thing An Han used to do?”
Someone @mentioned her, and soon after, her phone even rang.
An Han could hardly believe how much presence she had had in high school… Probably because she had pranked most of the boys and organized the last two reunions herself.
After a brief hesitation, she answered the call.
“Hey! An Han! Are you coming to the reunion tonight?” A low male voice sounded urgent. “You haven’t popped up in the group for two months—I thought you were dead!”
An Han adjusted her voice. “I’ve been busy, had no time to check the group.”
“I probably can’t make it tonight. I have to go out right now.”
“What’s more urgent than the reunion? Going out on the first day of the New Year?”
Going out to give Su Peng a surprise…
Even if she left today, it wouldn’t make much difference. She would arrive in the evening anyway.
But she certainly couldn’t go wearing a chest binder or makeup…
In front of her father, the binder’s allure would be diminished, and the effect of makeup would vanish. But at the reunion… the environment was too complex; she couldn’t control the side effects of these tools.
An Han walked into the bathroom, looking at the girl in the mirror.
If she just looked like a girl and could conceal her figure, it wouldn’t be too much of a problem.
At most, she would be teased a bit by classmates.
After the reunion, she could head straight out, arrive before midnight, check into a hotel, rest up, and then suddenly appear in front of Su Peng the next day, giving him a complete shock.
Imagining Su Peng’s expression—from stunned, to bewildered, to utterly surprised—lit her playful, mischievous spirit again.
“Hello? You hear me? Six in the evening! The boss will be there too! You’re not going to let the boss down, right?”
The “boss” was An Han’s high school homeroom teacher, famous for fiercely protecting his students, so everyone called him that.
Once a student got into trouble with local delinquents and was blocked at the school gate after class. The teacher personally picked up a metal rod and, with the boarding students in tow, marched out to scare them off… It had a kind of juvenile-gang-hero vibe that thrilled the students for a long time.
“Fine, fine…” An Han reluctantly agreed, but complained, “Why didn’t you at least postpone a few days? Why rush the reunion like this?”
It felt like a few friends deciding last-minute to go grab a late-night snack.
“Most people are home on the first day anyway, either visiting relatives or staying in. Better to come out for a reunion.”
“Stop whining, see you at five!”
She sighed, hung up, and, feeling listless, wiped her face with a towel.
Her skin had become delicate; even the rough towel made it a bit uncomfortable.
“Good thing it’s winter… can’t imagine this in summer.”
In summer, there’d be no way to hide her figure. Going to the reunion then would make her stand out as an oddity.
“Could it be that Su Peng also got a task, with the reward being a girlfriend-from-the-sky, but he didn’t choose?”
Her imagination ran wild as she muttered to herself, stepping out of the bathroom to find her hidden male clothing in the wardrobe, planning to carefully put together an outfit that would fully conceal her figure.
“So suddenly this thing pops up to trip me?”
It was only two in the afternoon. With four hours to prepare, An Han guessed not too many people would attend this time.
Previously, when she had organized reunions, it took half a month of preparation, calling one by one, to gather just over thirty people. Others were either out of town or found excuses not to come.
And most of those thirty people had already been “ambushed” by An Han and her friends in the restaurant’s private room with booklets thrown at their heads.
Videos of it were even saved in the class group files for everyone to enjoy.
Thinking of this, An Han frowned, feeling a chill run down her spine and goosebumps rise on her arms. She seemed to sense endless malice emanating from the void.
Not right! This reunion was definitely dangerous!
Someone must want to see her embarrassed, humiliated! There would definitely be revenge for her previous pranks!
Everyone would enjoy such antics, and no one would have leaked information to her in advance.
Too bad her sister wasn’t here, otherwise she could have helped cover for her.
“Now that I’m this cute, they shouldn’t have the heart to mess with me, right?”
An Han muttered as she put on a padded winter coat. Looking down, she could still see a slight rise of her chest.
Then she found her old woolen trench coat. The long black coat covered her curves completely from top to bottom.
“Perfect!”
