Chapter 144 142. Su Peng’s Dark Past [5/12]

Jan 07, 2026 1,432 words

They didn’t go to the obstetrics department—ended up at gynecology first instead.

And!

It was so damn embarrassing!

“Sit up there, lie down, spread your legs.”

The moment the doctor said those words, An Han was completely stunned.

Ever since turning into a woman, she hadn’t even dared to seriously study her new equipment. When showering, she would just half-heartedly smear on some foam, rinse it off with water, wipe with a towel, and be done with it.

But this physical exam had the doctor thoroughly examine her from the inside out—and conclude that she was perfectly healthy.

What the hell!

Why didn’t I think it would be this kind of exam before coming?!

She had thought it would be similar to the school physicals she’d done growing up!

During the examination, scenes from Night Hospital even flashed through her mind. Thankfully, the female doctor’s attitude was very professional—expressionless, as if she were carefully observing a mechanical component.

It was only An Han whose mind was filled with all sorts of dirty thoughts.

When she walked out of the room, her face was already red enough to drip blood.

Su Peng, who had been waiting outside, hurried over. “So? How was it? What’s the situation?”

“……”

“Why is your face so red?”

An Han looked at his face, took a deep breath, and tried hard to suppress the overwhelming shame.

It’s fine. Almost all girls have to go through this kind of exam.

“I heard that… if you’re unmarried, you don’t really need a gynecological exam…”

“Is that so? Since we’re already here, might as well do everything,” Su Peng said with a grin as he pulled out a form. “There’s still quite a lot left.”

An Han’s eyelid twitched. She regretted even more agreeing to Su Peng’s suggestion to get a physical exam.

“Let’s go. Next one.”

There were plenty of people getting checkups at the hospital on weekends, but somehow—no idea who Su Peng had talked to—she was able to cut in line every single time.

Damn this relationship-based society!

She dragged her feet, trying to delay things. She really didn’t want to experience another exam as humiliating as the last one.

“If we don’t finish today, we’ll still have to come back next week,” Su Peng said, seeing the resistance on her face.

“Then let’s go back now!”

“But you’ll have to come again next week anyway. Might as well just finish everything in one go.”

An Han frowned, puffing out her cheeks in dissatisfaction. “But a lot of these exams are totally unnecessary.”

“The doctor said they’re necessary.”

Who knows which doctor said that!

She sighed inwardly and followed behind Su Peng, cutting the line again and entering yet another examination room.

Damn this relationship-based society!

I don’t even want to cut in line! Wouldn’t it be better to just queue up properly like everyone else?!

Trying to stall until the doctors got off work was impossible…

Su Peng leaned against the hallway wall with his arms crossed, bored as he waited for An Han to finish.

Wife’s figure is getting better and better~

Out of boredom, An Han’s body surfaced in his mind.

Even though the temperature had dropped and An Han was wrapped up tightly, he could still tell—her chest had become fuller than before, and her butt had grown perkier with time.

Her proportions seemed even more alluring now. Her legs looked longer than before, and the curve between her hips and thighs was just—

“Xiao Peng.”

The sudden call snapped Su Peng out of his imagination. He looked up to see an elderly doctor in a white coat walking toward him.

“Uncle.”

He put on a respectful smile, though his body stiffened slightly.

From childhood to now, this uncle in front of him had beaten him more times than he could count…

Su Zhiguo was very thin, but his posture was straight, and he walked with purpose. He came right up to Su Peng, glanced at his nephew’s stiff smile, then turned to look at the door of the examination room.

“Girlfriend?”

“Sort of?” Su Peng answered with a bit of guilt.

In his own mind, his relationship with An Han was still hovering somewhere between best friends and lovers.

Mainly because An Han’s attitude was always changing—otherwise, he would’ve already sealed the deal.

Before uncle and nephew could say much more, An Han pushed open the examination room door and walked out with a weary expression.

She went straight to Su Peng’s side and lifelessly rested her forehead against his shoulder, sounding extremely weak. “How about we go back? I’m so tired…”

“How can a physical exam make you tired?”

“Mentally tired~” she sighed. She was already about to raise her voice and put on a cute, coquettish loli tone when she suddenly noticed a doctor beside Su Peng staring straight at her.

An Han froze.

She had thought he was just a passing doctor, but now it seemed he knew Su Peng.

She quickly restrained her small movements and fake exhaustion, smiling brightly at Su Zhiguo. “Uncle, I’m Su Peng’s classmate. Thanks for the trouble today.”

She called him “uncle,” but this doctor looked old enough to be her grandfather.

“Mhm.”

Su Peng leaned in and reminded her in a low voice, “This is my uncle—the hospital director.”

His breath brushed against An Han’s ear, instantly making her earlobe flush red.

Her smile stiffened slightly. She lowered her gaze and quickly glanced at Su Zhiguo, only to find him still carefully studying her.

This old man looks really serious!

Could it be that he misunderstood and thought I was Su Peng’s girlfriend?

This kind of misunderstanding was way too common. In front of elders, even casually talking to a random girl could earn you a knowing, matchmaking smile.

Luckily, misunderstandings like this were easy to clear up—just a casual explanation from Su Peng would do.

“Not bad. How did you end up liking this kid?” Su Zhiguo finally spoke, a hint of kindness appearing between his brows.

Yes! This is the moment to explain!

An Han looked expectantly at Su Peng—but he just smiled and joked around instead. “Uncle, what’s wrong with me? What do you mean ‘how did she end up liking me’?”

“All the crap you’ve done—I don’t even feel like talking about it.”

Su Zhiguo shot him a glance and walked straight toward the end of the hallway.

Only then did Su Peng relax. When he turned his head, he saw An Han glaring at him angrily.

“It was just youthful ignorance,” Su Peng hurriedly switched to a placating expression. “I used to hang out with some small-time hooligans. Nothing too serious. I’ve turned over a new leaf.”

“Who wants to hear about your stupid past?”

An Han had zero interest in whatever black history Su Peng had.

She took a deep breath. “Why didn’t you explain it clearly?”

Seeing that this was what she was angry about, Su Peng was a little surprised. Then he smiled. “It’s fine. Isn’t it going to happen sooner or later anyway?”

So you’ve already decided I’m meat in your bowl, huh?!

An Han realized she’d given Su Peng far too many benefits lately by treating him as a convenient task tool.

This is what happens when your willpower isn’t strong enough!

She fell silent for a moment, once again reminding herself to avoid too much intimacy and contact with Su Peng.

【Mind Reading Available】

At that moment, the system notification appeared.

Magic power had been fully collected. On Monday, she’d go find Ren Chi to get permission to live off-campus. After that, she could minimize contact with Su Peng as much as possible!

An Han pressed her lips together and walked toward the next examination room.

After just a few steps, she suddenly turned around. Su Peng almost ran straight into her and hurriedly stepped back.

“Tell me your black history in detail.”

She really couldn’t resist her blazing curiosity.
