Chapter 72 072. An Han’s Plan
Generally speaking, even if a club president joins another club, it doesn’t necessarily mean they’ll hold any official position there.
But the problem was—the school’s Fitness Club was utterly pathetic.
After years of existence, only two or three members still maintained any real fitness routine. Their only regular “activity” was getting together for dinner on weekend evenings. Calling it a club was generous—it was basically just a small circle of friends hanging out.
After class, An Han headed over to the Fitness Club’s space.
Only two members were inside, chatting idly. He peeked through the window but didn’t spot Wang Yu, so he turned around and started walking toward the dorm buildings.
Unfortunately, he had no idea where the Esports Club’s activity room was located—if he did, he could’ve stopped by on his way.
“This is tough…” An Han sighed heavily as he strolled down the campus path. “Even if I pester him nonstop, Wang Yu probably still won’t agree… unless I become the sponsor myself?”
Though An Han wasn’t short on allowance, he regularly spent money on in-game purchases and splurged on good meals every few days. Forget sponsoring—he’d struggle to come up with even a thousand yuan.
He pulled his jacket tighter and glanced up at the sky.
The temperature was dropping—but only from nearly 40°C down to just over 30°C. Lately, An Han had been wearing his jacket constantly, and the heat had given him heat rash all over.
His chest remained flat—still “steamed bun” level—but his roommates must have noticed something was off. They just never brought it up.
Slowly, he arrived once again at Wang Yu’s dorm room and hesitated before giving the door a light knock.
After a moment, Wang Yu opened the door—and his expression instantly darkened the moment he saw An Han.
Clearly, An Han’s previous clinginess had already left a psychological scar.
“Bro Wang~” An Han beamed sweetly at him.
“…”
“I heard you’re also the Esports Club president? Why didn’t you tell me before?” An Han said, already trying to step inside.
But Wang Yu quickly stepped out into the hallway first. “Let’s talk here.”
“So here’s the thing~” An Han cooed gently. “You and Wang Sheng formed a team to compete, right? But there aren’t any CS:GO tournaments at internet cafes right now. I was thinking—why doesn’t the Esports Club organize one?”
“Didn’t you hear we’re hosting a tournament in November…?”
Just earlier in class, An Han had been seething with rage, ready to throttle him—but now he spoke in soft, careful tones, not daring to say a single harsh word, like a timid quail.
Wang Yu stared at him expressionlessly, saying nothing.
That silent, cold look pressed heavily on An Han, but he gritted his teeth and pressed on: “Just… a small tournament would be fine! Just to fulfill Wang Sheng’s dream of competing? If there’s no real match, your team’s just gonna be a casual gaming squad, right?”
“Can’t do it. Every extra game means more money from sponsors.”
An Han understood the reason well enough. He could only sigh with a bitter smile. “Can’t you think of something?”
“…”
Wang Yu remained silent, just watching him coolly.
That aloof attitude made An Han’s blood boil.
Ever since receiving the system, this was the first time he’d encountered such a stubborn guy.
He’d once been relieved that Wang Yu seemed like a “normal” person—but now he was frustrated that Wang Yu’s favorability toward him refused to budge.
If his favorability were higher, Wang Yu would at least try to help despite difficulties—only refusing if it were truly impossible. Not like now, where he wouldn’t even consider it.
Wait… raising favorability?
A sudden idea struck An Han like lightning—just as Wang Yu turned and walked straight back into his dorm without another word.
Dazed, An Han returned to his own room, plopped down at his desk, and began seriously pondering his next move.
Should he wear the system-rewarded chest binder and boost Wang Yu’s favorability to over 70?
But… wouldn’t that be kind of cheap?
He’d be using tricks to manipulate someone else into solving his problems—without lifting a finger himself.
That wasn’t his style.
“An Han, how’d it go?” Wang Sheng suddenly leaned in, eyes brimming with hopeful anticipation.
That mix of eagerness and nervous caution was just too much for An Han to handle.
Wang Sheng placed huge trust in him—and An Han himself held great expectations for his gaming ambitions.
After a long pause, An Han sighed softly. “It’s… complicated.”
Mainly because of his own conscience.
As a guy, the thought of deliberately flirting with another man was deeply unsettling.
Before, any male attention he received was accidental—side effects of system rewards. But this time, he’d have to take the initiative… and honestly?
The idea was kind of thrilling!
Imagine Wang Yu’s usual icy demeanor melting into devoted adoration!
Remember how he’d forced An Han into brutal anaerobic workouts!
Recall how he’d smugly hidden the fact he was Esports Club president, secretly laughing at An Han’s ignorance!
This was the first time An Han had met someone so infuriatingly hard to crack!
But precisely because of that, he hesitated—terrified the system might twist him into some manipulative “green tea” seductress.
After a long internal struggle, An Han slammed his palm on the desk with a determined grimace.
“Don’t worry! I’ll handle him!”
He’d treat it like a prank—after all, he’d pulled plenty of shameless tricks before.
Wang Sheng had been looking crestfallen, but now stared at An Han in utter confusion at his sudden burst of energy. “What’s gotten into you?”
“I’ve got a way to deal with him! At least enough to get him to help organize the tournament—whether it actually happens is another story.”
“That’s already enough,” Wang Sheng said admiringly. “I’ve begged him online so many times, and he never even replied.”
Just then, Chen Junjie walked in from the balcony and teased, “An Han, you’re not planning to flirt with Wang Yu, are you? Looking as girly as you do now, you’d probably have a good shot.”
“An Han’s not that kind of person,” Long Xing said without turning from his computer screen.
“I absolutely am!” An Han declared proudly.
He half-expected the system to notify him of Long Xing’s favorability dropping—but instead, Long Xing just burst out laughing. “You’re a guy, remember?”
“…”
You *know* I’m a guy!
Then stop being so ambiguous! Why not just turn that tiny bit of affection into plain old brotherhood?
Or better yet—take a page from Su Peng and keep your distance on purpose!
An Han let out another quiet sigh and decided to wait until the weekend to put his plan into action.
On weekdays, he had no chance to wear the chest binder—and he was wary of wearing it around his roommates. If Chen Junjie and Wang Sheng’s favorability suddenly skyrocketed too, their dorm would turn into a full-blown harem drama.
He needed to get his roommates out of the dorm on the weekend…
“So,” he turned to them, “any plans for the weekend?”
The weekend was only two days away.
“I’ve got a date with a girl at Gulangyu Island,” Chen Junjie answered casually.
Long Xing also nodded. “The Fitness Club’s having a meetup Saturday night—you coming?”
Wait! If the Fitness Club’s gathering, doesn’t that mean Wang Yu will be there too?
“No,” An Han said quickly, then turned to Wang Sheng. “What about you?”
“Staying in the dorm to game.”
Predictable homebody.
