Chapter 164 162. Showering
【Long Xing’s Favorability -3】
“Huh?”
An Han looked back at Long Xing in confusion, her face full of puzzlement.
Since yesterday, Long Xing’s favorability toward her had been dropping little by little, eventually stopping at seventy and no longer moving.
Although a decrease in favorability was a good thing, seeing Long Xing’s dejected appearance, An Han genuinely couldn’t figure out what unforgivable thing she had done.
“What’s wrong with him…”
She muttered as she turned back to her computer, propping her chin up with both hands and staring at the match playing on the screen.
Wang Sheng had gone to the internet café tonight for the final round of tryouts. Chen Junjie, as usual, had gone to find his girlfriend. Long Xing, meanwhile, was waiting for the time to head out to the fitness club’s dinner.
Until Wang Sheng returned tonight, she would be the only one in the dorm. She could wash her underwear, wring it as dry as possible, and then finish drying it with a hairdryer.
Hanging it on the balcony was too risky—it would be easy for people in the neighboring dorm to see—so the hairdryer was the only option.
With only her and Long Xing in the room, there was no need to worry about waking anyone up. An Han turned the speakers up to maximum volume, listening to the commentators from the esports broadcast and watching the match, yet her mind kept circling around what exactly she might have done to offend Long Xing.
It wasn’t that she had to get to the bottom of it—she just wanted to be prepared in case his favorability went up again in the future.
Was it because she hadn’t had much close interaction with Long Xing recently, so his favorability naturally declined?
Or had something she said offended him?
Or was it because she always picked the meat out of his meals and annoyed him?
Recently, An Han hadn’t deliberately done anything to lower Long Xing’s favorability. She thought about it for a long time but really couldn’t come up with a reasonable explanation.
“Brother Long.”
“What is it?”
“Did you… happen to find a girlfriend recently?” An Han asked curiously, turning her head.
The only possibility! That Long Xing had met a girl he liked during club recruitment and had “changed his affections”!
Long Xing froze for a moment and looked back at her, completely baffled as to why she would think that.
“No.”
“Really?” An Han stared at his eyes suspiciously.
“Really.”
“Then why do I feel like you’ve been absent-minded lately?”
Because my head is full of the way you look shy and charming when you’re with Su Peng.
Long Xing sighed softly and didn’t answer her question. “I’m heading to the dinner. You’re really not going, right?”
“Nope, I’m watching the match!”
“Don’t lock the dorm door tonight. I’ll probably be back around one or two.”
“Got it.”
An Han waved dismissively, covered her mouth and yawned, then quickly realized what she was doing and lowered her hand. She casually added, “Remember to bring me a bottle of cola.”
“Okay.”
Most likely, he had met a girl he liked.
To Long Xing, liking a girl was obviously far more appealing than liking a guy.
Watching Long Xing put on his shoes and leave the dorm, An Han instantly relaxed.
She sprang up from her computer, hurriedly locked the dorm door, then ran to the balcony and called out to the neighboring dorm, “Su Peng! Su Peng!”
Soon, Su Peng appeared on his balcony and asked blankly, “What’s up?”
“Bring my underwear over. I’m going to take a shower,” An Han said in a low voice.
“Alright.”
A moment later, Su Peng returned to the balcony with a bag and handed it to An Han across the narrow gap between the two balconies. “Be more careful usually. I think Long Xing has bad intentions toward you.”
“You’ve got the nerve to talk about others…”
“Should I keep the ones you change out too?”
An Han immediately became alert and stared at Su Peng with the look one gives a pervert.
He froze for a moment, not understanding where her wariness came from, but soon his male instincts kicked in and he realized her dirty line of thinking. “Don’t overthink it. I’m not that kind of person.”
“I’ll give them back to you after I wash and dry them.”
So you won’t use them for anything weird.
Carrying the bag, An Han returned to her room, grabbed a change of clothes, and plunged straight into the bathroom.
Su Peng didn’t leave in a hurry. He leaned against the balcony railing, looking down at his phone, though his gaze drifted from time to time toward the blurred silhouette on the frosted glass of the neighboring bathroom.
Even though he couldn’t see her figure clearly at all, his imagination still ran wild.
“Tomorrow at eleven noon, don’t oversleep,” he reminded her through the door.
“Got it! You even need me to accompany you on a blind date—aren’t you embarrassed?”
It was you who got all excited after hearing me and insisted on bringing me along.
Su Peng didn’t argue, replying with a faint smile, “Aren’t you my master? A disciple’s blind date is such an important matter—of course you need to be there to help screen them.”
“My standards are very strict, okay? I’ll make sure to pick you someone with big boobs and long legs!”
He paused, thinking of An Han’s soft, plump curves.
If only they were a bit bigger…
“Is there anyone else in your dorm?” Su Peng asked expectantly.
Inside the bathroom, An Han had already turned on the shower. The sound of the water made it impossible for her to hear Su Peng clearly.
She rinsed her delicate skin on her own, expressionless, her movements mechanical.
Although both her figure and her “equipment” were now things that would once have excited her greatly, she no longer had any interest in looking closely at herself during showers. When her palm brushed over those new parts, a faint sense of disgust always rose in her heart.
She liked them, yes—but when they were attached to her own body, she couldn’t accept them.
“Ha…”
Her hair had grown longer and longer. She had once considered cutting it, but after becoming a woman, she couldn’t decide whether it was better to keep it short or long.
Soaked hair covered half her face, revealing only a delicate nose and rosy lips. With her eyes tightly shut, she applied body wash to herself in the darkness.
She grew more and more resistant to showering. Every shower was a torment to her heart, every shower making her clearly realize that she was now completely a woman.
Disgust, sorrow, confusion…
She couldn’t summon any positive emotions, and the constant sense of loss made her feel as though she had lost her life.
“Damn system…”
Even her curses sounded weak. She didn’t wash very carefully—after a quick pass with body wash, she simply stood beneath the showerhead, tilting her face up to let the warm water rinse over her.
Bang bang bang.
“An Han, why did you suddenly go quiet?”
A knock came from the bathroom door, instantly dispersing all of An Han’s emotions.
She hesitated and looked toward the door. Through the frosted glass, she could vaguely see Su Peng’s silhouette. “You came over like this?”
“I jumped straight over. You suddenly stopped talking, so I thought something happened.”
“Aren’t you afraid of falling to your death?”
“Is your bathroom window open? Showering without opening it can make you short of oxygen.”
“It’s open. I’m not stupid.”
Su Peng laughed at himself. “I am stupid. I fainted once as a kid while taking a bath.”
An Han burst out laughing. Leaning against the cold tiles, she crossed her arms and asked, “And then? Your family rushed in and pulled you out?”
“Our dog dragged me out of the bathroom.”
“Then that dog really was your lifesaver.”
An Han laughed especially happily, completely forgetting her earlier gloom.
