Chapter 215 212. Teasing

Jan 30, 2026 1,425 words

“After we get back, I’ll find a way to get your identity sorted out. It should be resolved by the time you come home for winter break.”

On the weekend, at the high-speed rail station, her mother held An Han’s hand with concern and kept reminding her, “Remember to use the skincare products I bought you. Pay attention to sun protection, and don’t rush into finding a boyfriend…”

“Girls need to take good care of themselves. Even if you do get a boyfriend, don’t let yourself be taken advantage of.”

“When you wear skirts, remember to wear safety shorts. If you flash someone, you’ll be the one at a loss.”

An Han lowered her head, counting how many squares there were on her plaid skirt, responding with absent-minded “mm-hm, mm-hm”s to brush off her mother’s words.

Did she really look that easy to fool?

She’d been a man for twenty years—she knew the nonsense men spouted far better than her mother did.

“You’ll be on break around next month, right?”

“Yeah, sometime in mid-January.”

Her mother smiled and nodded, but her gaze unconsciously swept over An Han’s chest and she paused. “Why does it feel like you got bigger?”

“Bigger?”

Following her mother’s gaze, An Han looked down at her chest and instinctively crossed her arms to block it. “No way—your eyes are playing tricks on you.”

There was a smile in her mother’s eyes. “It’s nothing embarrassing. Don’t use chest binders like that anymore.”

An Han froze for a moment, then blushed and avoided her mother’s gaze.

It was just that she’d added a bit more to her physique stat last night.

Honestly, she’d lost track of how many times she’d rolled physique, but compared to other stats, it always seemed to come up more often.

She was probably already at a B+ now.

“Let’s go to the waiting hall.” Her mother smiled, took her younger sister’s hand, and gently lowered her head. “Say goodbye to your sister.”

“Bye-bye!”

Watching her family pass the check and enter the waiting hall, An Han finally relaxed.

【Task completed. Reward: Identity change.
Reward will be granted during winter break.】

The system notification popped up at the same time. She let out a long sigh, feeling much lighter.

“Finally over.”

An Han raised both arms and stretched exaggeratedly.

“I can finally go back to the rental and catch up on sleep~”

“Oh right, system—what are my mom’s and sister’s favorability?”

【Mother: Favorability 78. Sister: Favorability 91.】

Her mother’s favorability had dropped a bit, but her sister’s had skyrocketed.

An Han fell silent for a moment, then thought of the favorability trait and the charm stat.

Without those, her mother’s favorability probably wouldn’t even be at seventy, and she certainly wouldn’t have accepted her sudden gender change so easily.

“Can I see my mom’s favorability toward Su Peng?”

The system gave no response—this request exceeded its capability.

An Han didn’t mind and walked lightly toward the exit of the station.

At the entrance of the underground parking lot, a tall figure had been waiting. The moment he saw her, he raised his hand and waved.

She quickened her steps, fluttering over to Su Peng like a butterfly. Her cheeks were already flushed, and she couldn’t suppress the joy at the corners of her mouth. “Su Peng! You’re taking me back to school!”

“Let’s go. Want to stop somewhere to hang out?”

“Hang out? I’ve been walking all over the place with my mom these past two days—my feet are killing me.”

An Han followed at Su Peng’s side, chattering nonstop about everything that happened. It had only been one day apart, but she couldn’t stop talking.

“You have no idea—my sister is a demon! She kept deliberately messing with me and embarrassing me!”

“My mom bought me tons of clothes. They’re all piled up at the hotel—help me sort them out when we get back.”

“We ate at this cake shop yesterday! The cream puffs and ice cream were sooo good~”

When they reached Su Peng’s car, An Han suddenly stopped. “Hey, Su Peng!”

“What is it?” Su Peng unlocked the car and turned back. “If you’ve got something to say, get in first.”

But An Han just lowered her head, nervously tucking her hair behind her ear.

The parking lot was full of cars. From afar came footsteps and conversations; behind them was a line of cars with headlights on, inching carefully through the garage.

The lighting was dim. She stood with her back to the light, her lowered face hard to read.

Su Peng sensed something. His heart slowly lifted into his throat.

When An Han told him on Saturday that she didn’t need him to pick her up, he’d already guessed how this might end.

His future mother-in-law was hard to deal with—maybe this was what An Han wanted too…

“Well, my mom said I shouldn’t have too much contact with you.” An Han spoke heavily. “She said I’ve only been a girl for a short time and it’s easy to be deceived by men.”

“I understand. What Auntie said isn’t wrong.”

Su Peng did his best to stay calm. He smiled and opened the trunk. “I’ll take you back first.”

His heart ached. He’d only truly liked An Han for about two months. He knew they were just in an ambiguous stage, not even a couple—but at this moment, his head spun, as if he were losing the whole world.

An Han lifted her brows slightly, studying his unusually calm expression.

Then she glanced at his favorability.

【Su Peng: Favorability 103】

Seeing that An Han still hadn’t gotten into the car, Su Peng could only stand there. He turned his head away, not daring to let her see the emotion in his eyes.

He took a deep breath, his nose stinging, forcing himself to keep his composure and gentle smile. “Let’s go.”

“But,” An Han said, “I think my mom’s wrong.”

He looked at her instinctively—and saw a huge grin.

“My love life is none of her business. And we’ve known each other for years—these past two months we’ve practically been together every day… Whether you’d deceive me or not, wouldn’t I know?”

An Han looked up at him, hands clasped behind her back, smiling mischievously as she stepped closer, her small head leaning toward his shoulder.

There was nearly a twenty-centimeter height difference. Standing straight, they were about a head apart.

She stood on tiptoe, leaning in, her lips close to his ear.

After waiting a moment and feeling Su Peng grow increasingly tense, she finally said lightly, delightedly, “You got played by me again~”

“……”

Su Peng’s emotions went on a roller coaster.

He lowered his head slightly—An Han’s face was right there. He could even feel the warmth of her skin at the tip of his nose.

Without hesitation, he viciously leaned in and kissed her.

The moment his lips touched her cheek, An Han shrank back and nimbly climbed into the car. “Holy crap! Keep your hands to yourself!”

“Who told you to mess with me!”

“Even so, you can’t just go grabbing and kissing! I’m calling the cops on you, you pervert!”

“Too late! I’m locking you in a dark room!” Su Peng slammed the car door shut. “Caught you now!”

An Han curled up her legs, looking weak and helpless—but annoyingly smug—showing the safety shorts under her skirt. “Eww~ Pervert!”

Su Peng glared at her, furious. He’d thought it was a farewell, then a confession—only for it to be a prank!

If their relationship were any further along, it definitely wouldn’t have ended with just one kiss.

Originally I wanted to write the family trip in detail, but since it got canceled, I’ll just skip over it~
