Chapter 157 155. Mutual Understanding

Jan 11, 2026 1,473 words

Su Peng couldn’t understand why An Han would enter university disguised as a male while being a girl.

But seeing An Han’s completely muddled expression made him want to laugh uncontrollably.

He tried hard to suppress his smile, yet the amusement in his eyes couldn’t be hidden. An Han lifted her head, took one glance, immediately noticed it, and raised her foot to kick him.

Su Peng didn’t dodge and took the kick squarely, leaving a grayish-white footprint on his pants.

“What the hell are you laughing at?! What’s so funny! You’ve never even had a first love!”

He froze for a moment, then sighed helplessly yet gently. “Yeah, but didn’t you say you’d help me find a girlfriend?”

An Han snorted and slumped onto the desk. “You just don’t want to look. With your conditions, how could you possibly lack girls…”

You’ve clearly got your eyes on me, you damn pervert!

“Master, you said you’d help me find someone I like.” Su Peng smoothly switched titles, grinning playfully. “It’s not that I don’t want to look. It’s just that the person I like hasn’t made her stance clear, so I don’t dare act recklessly.”

“……”

Stop hinting already. Anyone with a brain can tell what you mean.

And when have you not been acting recklessly?

But An Han only paused briefly, then continued to play dumb, asking with exaggerated curiosity, “Who? Which class? Do I know them?”

“Probably. You should know her.”

Su Peng’s smile grew even gentler, his eyes filled with affection.

An Han’s heart began to race uncontrollably. Her face slowly flushed, and she realized that the atmosphere in the dorm had become ambiguous and soft.

She could hear her own heart pounding rapidly. The gaze falling on her cheeks grew hotter and hotter, as if it wanted to carve itself deep into her body. Ever since she gained the sensitivity attribute, she had become increasingly keen at sensing the emotions contained in people’s looks, and so she could feel Su Peng’s affection for her even more clearly.

That affection passed into her heart and inevitably affected her hormone secretion.

Her mind gradually sank into the ambiguous atmosphere, and her body, which had been tense with caution, subconsciously relaxed.

Su Peng liking me is just the system’s guidance!

If there were no favorability system, Su Peng wouldn’t possibly like me! And likewise, if not for the system, I wouldn’t possibly develop feelings for Su Peng either!

It’s all fake…

An Han forced herself to sober up, unwilling to continue this topic. She casually changed the subject and asked, “Did Dong Ming notice the sanitary pad in his blanket last night? What was your dorm’s reaction?”

“No reaction. They all know you did it.”

“You didn’t expose me, did you?” An Han asked in disbelief. “I haven’t messed around in ages! How did Dong Ming still guess it was me?”

You call that not messing around? You just used to target Wu Dongming, and now you’ve started targeting me instead.

Su Peng simply smiled without saying anything.

Suddenly, footsteps stopped outside in the corridor. An Han immediately cut off the conversation with Su Peng, quickly put her jacket on, and zipped it up.

Even though her roommates had long noticed that her chest was gradually becoming more prominent, proper concealment was still necessary.

It was Long Xing who had returned.

The redness on his cheeks hadn’t faded yet, and his eyes were filled with despair and exhaustion. He walked in without even looking at An Han and collapsed directly onto Chen Junjie’s bed.

He looked utterly worn out. He had probably never experienced anything so humiliating in his life, and his mind was still in a daze.

An Han was full of schadenfreude. With crescent-shaped eyebrows and a malicious smile, she asked him, “Brother Long, where did you just go?”

“To the fitness club to work out.”

“Really? But I didn’t see you at the fitness club.”

Long Xing paused. “Maybe I’d just gone to buy some water at that time.”

An Han pressed on relentlessly. “Really? I went to the convenience store too. I didn’t see you on the way.”

She was very familiar with Long Xing’s current state—it was exactly like how she looked every time she was forced by the system to do something embarrassing.

At times like this, if his secret were exposed, Long Xing might fly into a rage out of humiliation.

“Don’t bring it up…” Long Xing let out a long sigh and hinted vaguely. “Wang Yu dragged me into contributing to the club. You know what I mean…”

“I don’t know. Tell me about it.”

“……”

Only then did he look at An Han’s bright, charming face, which was filled with mischievous delight.

An Han was clearly pretending to be clueless on purpose.

He glanced again at Su Peng beside her. If Su Peng weren’t there, he would’ve complained to An Han about what Wang Yu had done and vented about the humiliation he’d just endured. But now he could only choose to stay silent.

So why is Su Peng always hanging around An Han? Is something wrong with him?

Could it be that Su Peng also likes An Han?

“Brother Long~ When I passed by the square earlier, I saw someone from afar who looked a lot like you.” An Han smiled, her tone light and lively as she deliberately provoked him. “That person was shirtless, showing off his muscles. Too bad I couldn’t see his face.”

Su Peng watched from the side and, for the first time, felt that An Han’s smug, teasing demeanor was particularly punchable.

Long Xing rolled over on Chen Junjie’s bed and closed his eyes to rest.

Seeing that her teasing had no effect on Long Xing, An Han shook her head in disappointment and turned her attention back to the computer.

Her favorability still hadn’t dropped.

“I’m going to take a nap.”

She stood up, yawning as she walked toward her bed.

“Go ahead. Want me to wake you up in an hour?” Su Peng looked up and reminded her. “It’s usually best not to nap for more than an hour, or you’ll feel even more tired when you wake up.”

When you say that, could you stop staring at my butt?!

With her back to Su Peng, An Han twitched the corner of her mouth and refused without hesitation. “I’m sleeping until class.”

Class wasn’t until four in the afternoon, so she could sleep for a full three hours.

Under Su Peng’s gaze, An Han deftly kicked off her sneakers at the heels and quickly climbed to the top bunk. After glancing at Long Xing to make sure he wasn’t paying attention, she took off her jacket and hid herself under the blanket, completely blocking Su Peng’s view.

The room soon quieted down, leaving only Long Xing’s long sighs. Su Peng stayed in the dorm for a few more minutes before slowly pushing the door open and leaving.

“I clearly wanted to have less contact with Su Peng, so why does it feel like… we’re actually interacting more and more?”

An Han muttered to herself under the covers.

As classmates, it was normal to run into each other in daily life. In the past, whenever they met, An Han would immediately shake Su Peng off.

But now, not only had Su Peng become more clingy, she herself would also subconsciously move closer to him. The original resistance she felt would basically disappear the moment she saw Su Peng…

“Xiao Han, did Junjie get another girlfriend? He even borrowed a hundred from me yesterday…”

“None of my damn business.” An Han interrupted Long Xing irritably.

She buried her head completely under the blanket.

She couldn’t keep being influenced by Su Peng and the system!

Pull yourself together!

“Brother Long, do you have any money? Lend me some?”

“Didn’t I just say it? Junjie borrowed my money. I’m pretty broke lately too.”

“Alright then…”

An Han took out her phone again and sent messages to Wang Sheng, Wu Dongming, and other familiar classmates and friends to borrow money—everyone except Su Peng.

She needed to borrow the money and move out as soon as possible!
