Chapter 169 167. A Blind Date Turned into a Date
An Han looked at the tacit smiles exchanged between Lin Shasha and Su Peng, then raised her head to look at the man Lin Shasha had brought for the blind date. Her mind went a little blank.
So… neither of these two actually intended to go on a blind date?
Then what was I here for today?
She fell into a brief daze, but quickly couldn’t help tugging on Su Peng’s sleeve, tilting her head up and whispering, “So… are we still going to eat steak?”
Since they were already here—and she had even gone out of her way to dress up nicely—no matter what, she had to eat something good before leaving, right? Otherwise, wouldn’t this be a total loss?
Su Peng lowered his head to look at her. Seeing those eyes that seemed to sparkle, he nodded helplessly. “Relax. Everything’s already booked.”
Although their voices were low, Lin Shasha still vaguely caught some of it. She looked curiously at the foodie, then at the gentleness in Su Peng’s eyes, and suddenly understood.
“Your girlfriend?” she stepped forward gracefully, her movements light, asking with a polite smile.
“Uh… I—”
An Han had just been about to refute it, but when she looked up and found Lin Shasha staring straight at her, she immediately behaved herself, lowered her head, and fiddled with her phone, looking timid and shy.
Normally she was as lively as could be in front of acquaintances, but facing Lin Shasha now, she chickened out so badly she didn’t even dare lift her head. Su Peng glanced at her current state, suppressed a laugh, and explained to Lin Shasha, “She’s a bit introverted.”
An Han kept her head down, yet her gaze still drifted toward the other woman from time to time.
The real-life Lin Shasha was no less impressive than in the photos. She always wore a polite smile, and her small suit made her look especially mature. Her features were so delicate she looked almost like a doll.
Just comparing faces alone, An Han was already no match for her—and Lin Shasha’s bust was at least three sizes bigger than An Han’s.
She must have had cosmetic fillers or something!
An Han silently complained.
But this girl was short—she didn’t even look 1.6 meters tall. Standing next to her male companion, who was nearly 1.9 meters, they looked almost like a father and daughter.
It would take at least two points in physique and one point in appearance to beat this girl~
But physique points didn’t only increase bust size…
“Stop spacing out,” Su Peng suddenly said with a light pat on An Han’s shoulder, smiling. “It’s time to eat.”
“Huh? Are they coming too?”
“I wouldn’t dare disturb you,” Lin Shasha said with a smile, shaking her head.
She watched An Han stand up, but her gaze was involuntarily drawn to those legs clad in white stockings, and a hint of envy surfaced in her eyes.
Those long legs were comparable to the artificially stretched figures you saw on short-video apps.
Lin Shasha didn’t linger. After a slight pause, she turned and left the milk tea shop with her companion.
Su Peng finally let out a sigh of relief. The anticipated scene of An Han and the blind date partner clashing head-on never happened. What’s more, the other side hadn’t intended to go on a blind date either. What was supposed to be a blind date had instead turned into a date between him and An Han!
“Let’s go eat steak.”
The moment she heard that, An Han immediately forgot about Lin Shasha. Her face lit up with anticipation as she nodded vigorously. “Let’s go, let’s go! Steak time!”
She followed behind Su Peng in quick, excited steps, completely shedding her earlier shyness and becoming lively again. “I even dressed up specially today, and it turns out she didn’t plan to go on a blind date with you at all.”
Her mouth practically didn’t stop. “It must be because you’re too ugly and she didn’t like you.”
“Hey, do you think she really had plastic surgery? I couldn’t tell at all.”
“You only talked for a few minutes—how are you going to explain this to your parents when you get home?”
“That Lin Shasha is really short…”
Although An Han’s chatter was a bit noisy, Su Peng didn’t mind at all. He kept a doting smile on his face, nodding occasionally or replying simply, “I already coordinated with her. When I get back, I’ll say we chatted for over an hour and didn’t fancy each other.”
“Then what if your family makes you go on another blind date next time?”
Su Peng answered without thinking, “I’ll say I already have a girlfriend, then bring you home for them to see?”
“……”
“Let’s talk about it when the time comes. At least it’ll buy me a week or two of peace.” Seeing An Han fall silent, he quickly changed his tone.
[Task completed. Appearance attribute obtained.]
An Han’s attention, however, was completely drawn to the system notification that suddenly popped up.
As expected, the tasks for option three were all simple. She had thought she’d have to fight it out with Su Peng’s blind date partner, but it ended just like that.
With this one point in appearance, at least her facial features were no longer inferior to Lin Shasha’s.
That last trace of masculine contour on her cheeks would disappear completely as well.
Although rationally An Han knew she shouldn’t compare herself to other women, her mind just wouldn’t stop going in that direction.
She should have been comparing herself to men in terms of handsomeness.
But now—even if she shaved her head completely, she’d probably be mistaken for a nun rather than a monk.
It was as if, whenever she was with Su Peng, her body and mind would sink into his warmth and hormones. When she wore women’s clothing, she would feel happy from the bottom of her heart. And now, whenever she saw other girls, she couldn’t help but start comparing.
“An Han?”
She’d been spacing out for a bit too long. Su Peng thought his earlier words might have upset her.
“Oh, it’s nothing.” An Han shook her head. When she looked up again, she still wore a bright, lively smile. “I was just thinking about something.”
“I think… maybe we should go back to school? How about we skip the steak?” she asked a little uneasily.
“What’s wrong?”
“I want to hurry up and change my clothes back…”
An Han was worried that if she wore women’s clothing and played the role of a woman for too long, her psychology would truly align with that of a girl.
She would start envying other pretty girls, like cute dresses, enjoy dressing herself up, be willing to show off her charm, like men, even be willing to have physical intimacy with them…
Although she really was a girl now, what if—what if the system later offered a reward to turn back into a man? By then, her female mindset might strongly resist, and she might never be able to adapt to a male body again.
“Weren’t you really looking forward to eating it?”
“But…” An Han found an excuse, tugging lightly at her skirt as if trying to lengthen the hem to cover more of her thighs. “They keep staring at my legs…”
Su Peng glanced at the passersby around them and sighed. “If you’re pretty, who else are they going to look at? Look at me—I’m handsome, and girls on the street like to stare at me too. I don’t feel uncomfortable, right?”
Can you stop being so narcissistic?
“You’ll get used to it. Once we’re inside the restaurant, no one will keep staring at you.” Su Peng could clearly tell An Han was just making excuses.
After spending this time together, he had already noticed that whenever An Han was deliberately trying to do something, she would act more exaggerated than usual.
When she wanted to prank someone, she’d show an innocent, sweet smile. When she felt guilty, she’d act especially righteous, though her eyes would dart around. And now, she clearly wanted to eat steak, yet for some reason had to find excuses to leave.
Could it be because she realized this blind date had turned into a date?
“Let’s go! I’ve already paid! If you don’t eat, you’re paying me back!”
Su Peng’s tone suddenly became much firmer.
An Han froze, looking confused. “You have to pay in advance to book a restaurant now?”
