Chapter 139 137. A Justifiable Reason

Jan 07, 2026 1,530 words

In the end, An Han chose to cover her ears and pretend nothing was happening.

She hurried back to her bed, ignored the confusion in Long Xing’s eyes, pulled the blanket over her head, and acted as if none of it had occurred.

After all, explaining that she had been doing something indescribable… felt like it would only make Long Xing even more excited.

Fortunately, once she got back into bed, Long Xing didn’t keep pressing her with questions.

When she woke up again, it was already noon.

Yawning, An Han woke up and reached toward the pillow beside her, immediately checking her phone for any messages or missed calls.

Seeing that there were no notifications on the lock screen, she sat up and glanced around the dorm.

It was the weekend. Chen Junjie was still lazing around in bed, Wang Sheng was already gaming, and Long Xing was still asleep, letting out soft snores.

Looks like he went to bed later than I did.

Because he has doubts and curiosity about me?

An Han pressed her lips together, picked up the jacket at the foot of her bed, and draped it over herself.

But even with the jacket as cover, the rise and fall of her chest was still especially noticeable. An Han didn’t know what her current bra size was, but compared to a normal girl, it was probably about the level of a fifteen- or sixteen-year-old.

It had already reached a point where it was hard to hide.

And with even the slightest movement, that swaying became more obvious. Because her chest was always pressed tightly against her clothes, it had also become much more sensitive.

“So annoying…”

An Han looked toward the balcony. Outside, it was a gloomy, rainy day—the cold front Su Peng had mentioned was probably on its way.

The temperature really was several degrees lower than yesterday. A thin jacket should have been enough, but after climbing out of bed, she still went straight to the wardrobe to look for something thicker.

“Dad~ are you going out later? Bring me some food,” Chen Junjie called out.

“Sure. What do you want to eat?”

“Ramen, plus extra beef and a fried egg.” After stating his request, Chen Junjie rolled over and finally looked at An Han.

An Han had her back to him, rummaging through the wardrobe for warmer clothes. It was just her back, but the lines and curves of her figure made him momentarily feel that the person standing there should be a stunning beauty capable of toppling kingdoms.

When An Han turned around and he saw her face clearly, Chen Junjie immediately lost interest.

She was pretty—very pretty, with refined features—but at the same time, a sense of mockery rose up in his heart.

“You’re that weak? It’s only twenty-something degrees and you’re already adding clothes?”

“Do you still want lunch?” An Han said expressionlessly as she put on more clothes.

“Dad!”

An Han snorted, brushed aside the bangs blocking her view, picked up her toothbrush and toothpaste, and headed toward the balcony.

Watching her leave, Chen Junjie muttered as he lay back down, “Getting more and more sissy.”

Perhaps their conversation had woken him, because Long Xing on the upper bunk also stirred awake.

His head was still a bit groggy, fragments of his dream flashing through his mind.

In the dream, last night’s events continued. He investigated An Han’s suspicious behavior and discovered that An Han was actually a girl. He bravely pursued her, successfully married her, and they even had three babies together…

“This dream is way too ridiculous, isn’t it?”

Although there was still a faint smile on his lips when he woke up, Long Xing felt the dream was utterly absurd.

Even if An Han really had something to hide last night, there was no way it could be that she was a woman.

After all, they had lived together for two years—whether An Han was male or female, he knew best.

“What a shame.”

He wondered if An Han had ever thought about going to Thailand for surgery.

Heard that domestic techniques were quite advanced now too…

“Brother Long, I’m heading out. What do you want to eat?” An Han came back in from the balcony at that moment, with a bit of toothpaste foam still at the corner of her mouth, completely unaware of it.

That little patch of white added an extra layer of suggestiveness to her innocent-yet-alluring face.

Chen Junjie rolled over. “Why have you been going out so often lately? Found a boyfriend?”

Because I have to go to a public restroom to change my sanitary pad.

An Han walked over expressionlessly and lifted her foot as if to kick him.

“I was wrong, I was wrong! Don’t kick toward my bed!”

“Xiao Han, you didn’t wipe your mouth clean,” Long Xing reminded her amid their scuffle. “Just buy me anything for lunch.”

An Han put her foot down and wiped the corner of her mouth. “Got it.”

“Wang Sheng, what about you?”

“My delivery’s almost here.”

Seeing that none of her roommates had any other requests, she finally left the dorm, planning to change her sanitary pad and buy lunch for everyone.

Su Peng didn’t come looking for me today.

As soon as she stepped into the corridor, An Han instinctively glanced toward the neighboring room, feeling an urge to open the door and see Su Peng—but she quickly suppressed it.

This is clearly a good thing.

She sighed softly and walked along the corridor toward the stairs. Along the way, she passed several students, all of whom looked at the girl who had wandered into the boys’ dorm with curious gazes.

“These pants are really a bit too much. And they’re already the loosest ones I own.”

An Han ignored the looks and muttered quietly, tugging at her long pants from time to time.

If she’d known this day would come, she never would have liked buying slim-fit pants before.

Now that her figure had changed, those pants didn’t fit well anymore—tight and clingy, outlining the curve of her hips.

The first piece of good news today was that An Han discovered her period was over.

From now on, she wouldn’t need to leave the dorm so frequently to look for public restrooms to change, nor would she have to be constantly on edge, worried about her roommates discovering her secret.

As long as her period wasn’t discovered, issues with her figure could at least be hidden as much as possible during this autumn and winter.

“System, since there’s a painless-period trait, isn’t there one where there’s no bleeding at all?”

“And why do I always feel like my flow is a bit too heavy? Is that a side effect of the trait?”

After leaving the public restroom, An Han habitually complained to the system a bit. Just as she was about to head to the cafeteria, she suddenly noticed a figure she’d been waiting to see for a long time appear at the end of the road.

Ren Chi!

She’d originally planned to look for him on Monday, but she actually ran into him today!

An Han couldn’t help showing a hint of joy. She stopped where she was, a slightly ingratiating, sweet smile appearing on her lovely face.

“Ren—”

“What are you trying to do again?” Ren Chi cut her off directly.

An Han’s expression stiffened, but she quickly kept smiling and moved closer. “Brother Ren~ long time no see~ What are you heading off to do?”

“Didn’t we just see each other at the sports meet on Friday? Going to the cafeteria to eat.”

“Why so cold~?”

Ren Chi didn’t stop walking, continuing forward. He glanced at that overly sweet smile and said helplessly, “The moment you smile like that, I know you’re not holding in anything good.”

“……”

An Han was choked speechless, not knowing what to say, but she still hurried to keep pace beside him.

She stopped deliberately trying to please him and asked bluntly, “Brother Ren, what exactly do I need to do to be allowed to live off-campus?”

“A justifiable reason. How you’ll ensure your safety. If you can convince me, that’s fine.”

“This…”

Actually, An Han’s reasons were quite justifiable.

After all, if she kept living in the dorm, she was afraid she’d end up turning all her roommates gay…

She was also worried that in a couple of months she’d have to go to the obstetrics department for a checkup—and might not even know who the father was.
